The Kings haven't been to the playoffs since 2006. It seems unfathomable, but it can take a while. Though, a team with that kind of drought, I have to question their true intentions.

Im just being realistic. A team this young getting to the playoffs this early would be great even if they lose early.

In all likelihood we will probably have to tank again if we go south. That's why Im talking about being flexible, be ready for any situation.

In this day and age your rebuild doesn‘t stop when you get a star. A lot of teams have young players that play on an all star level already and that go nowehere. Heck, look at Dallas - they might have the best player in the league and they don‘t look like a contender at all. First we have to see, what we have in our young guys. So let‘s develope them and don‘t care about winning at all. Getting another high draft pick (and nailing the pick) is imho the way out of the rebuild. But then again look at the Timberwolves - or for the longest time, look at the Sixers. You need to get lucky and at the right time you need to open your pockets and get premier FAs.

The Rockets are projected by Vegas to be tied with the 3rd/4th worst record in the NBA with DET. That is good for the 2022 Draft.
