Anyways I know you are paying undocumented laborers under the table if you’re having all these issues. Oh the irony.

People trying to duck from what they owe have to worry, the rest of us, do not.

Why can't they give you a receipt? It's not that hard to do.

Type up the receipt yourself, have them sign it and include a copy of the Venmo or zelle transaction.

LOL - so Salvy cheats by paying cash, and not reporting the company.......you get the benefit from the low wages, but it is cheating.

Just clean up and go by the letter of the law - we all have to.......or ride the line and keep cheating and hope you don't get caught.

How am I cheating? If I pay someone in cash its their responsibility to report their earnings not mine to pay their taxes.... If they want to charge taxes on the quote or the price agreed upon that's fine but in most cases they never do. They can duck their taxes but I can't. I have a license in real estate and when rehabbing homes there are sometimes 100's of receipts and invoices.... I can't hide my earnings, sure backlogs exist of all the money that goes in and out of my bank account. What I'm trying to say is, I have to be more careful with everything now. Keep track of absolutely everything. If Trump was implementing this I'd also be against it. Too bad you can't fathom accepting Biden makes mistakes...

You don't have to work harder, just obey the rules and stop trying to cut corners by paying day laborers, or people that don't give receipts...he knows exactly what he is doing.

It is not hard to use quicken to track your expenses, or expensify, or any other accounting tool, heck you can even automate most of them.

I own 2 companies and have to do that already, every cent has to be accounted for, you know what that is? Following the law.

You even have some expenses for misc. if you like.....just track your expenses, and you will be fine.....but you best have information for whom you paid......W9s etc.

Otherwise you are cheating and you know it.

Biden can make mistakes - but this isn't one of them, sounds like you run a very sloppy business.

Well I'm going to have to, in the event of an audit everything needs to be accounted for. I wonder how many rich people will actually end up paying what they really owe and how many small time business people will have to pay dearly for this if mistakes were made....

Do you really think this will benefit the middle class? If nothing changes for regular everyday people earning a living then fine. No mistakes were made, but if you put this next to the insane amount of inflation, gas prices, shortages in extremely important markets, real estate prices then yeah.... We keep getting screwed... Everything was better under Trump, I think Trump could have done things better as well. He was not perfect or near it. But the country was better off.... Problem is some cant even consider Biden is awful..

I’m small business owner as well, I have a successful landscaping business I built from nothing to something ..I too am trying to keep every receipt and it’s a concern for us, not easy when the day to day focus is running the business and trying to maximize profits with rising expenses

Right now you have a bunch of reactionary conservative posters with zero intellectual curiosity whoa entire life they've been brainwashed with "tax bad!" by a conservative media infrastructure full of people significantly more wealthy than them spamming this thread.

So let me start here with this question.

When it comes to automated auditing that doesn't require a professionally trained human tax auditor, where would that type of auditing be applied more often? Towards middle class folks with fairy simile tax filings? Ultra wealthy individuals with offshore accounts, multiple llcs etc?

Now after answering that question read these two article.

The people doing "complicated tax avoidance schemes" aren't your owners of small landscaping companies or your 9-5 software developer.

The confusion I have with your particular complaint in this thread, is that this is something that you should have already been doing regardless of who was/is President.

As far as I know (and please correct me if I'm wrong) this piece of legislation didn't introduce any new IRS tax codes for small businesses such as yours.
