All these posts, and not one mention of Anne Hathaway's favorite sushi restaurant? You disappoint me, ClutchFans. ;)

Go to Uptown Sushi if you really want quality, they probably have the best sushi in town. It's upscale, but they actually fly in their fish from vendors from around the world to get the best quality (only like 2 others fly in any fish). It comes from Africa, Japan, Hawaii, you name it.

I've always wanted to try Uptown Sushi. From what my friend told me, who happens to be a employee there, dinner for two averages $100??

I'll second Osaka. It's located in a strip mall and doesn't look like much from the outside, but they have the freshest sashimi I've had in Houston. And the free appetizers are pretty sweet too.

I'm really not a big fan of Uptown. I've been there a few times and the atmosphere is good, but I didn't think the sushi was anything special. Having to wait an hour for a table also sucks.

Based on my experience at least, if you want atmosphere go to Ra or Uptown. If you want quality, go to Kubos or Osaka.

It was one of the best a few years ago, but it has gone downhill, quality-wise.
