My family is trying to bring over some relatives from India but hit a issue with some paper work. We have been to two immigration lawyers already who didn't do anything, can anybody recommend a good lawyer we can talk to?
This sounds like a family based immigration issue. Can you provide some information? 1) What is the paperwork issue that you speak of? 2) What is the status of the people sponsoring your relatives? 3) Is your relative already in the US? If so, are they staying on some sort of visa? Depending on how complicated the issue, there are several lawyers I can recommend. I can PM you my email address if you want to email directly.
1) Well what happened was we moved to a new house but still owned the old house. They apparently sent us a form to our old house saying they want proof of our relationship to the applicant but we never received the form (we think the people who were renting our place at the time just didn't give us the form). So the denied the application. We have tried twice already to re-open the case but the lawyers we talked to weren't very helpful. 2) US Citizens 3) Relatives are in india.
Norma Ayoub from Ayoub & Associates. Helped my whole family including myself. Great lawyer IMO. I had some others lawyers before her and no one even compared.
Call attorney Steven Nguyen at Garza & Associates. Ph: (713) 664-6200. I know him personally. He is extremely helpful and will give you plenty of information over the phone.
I interned for vi nanthaveth in college at her immigration firm. She's from Austin but is in Houston all the time. She does an amazing job, highly recommend her. http://www.vnlawoffice.com/
I have a friend with a felony and is not USA citizen. He was detained and kept in immgration holding on north side of houston. THere are all kinds of characters there and my friend was out in a week ( absolutely unheard of) His attorney is Alexandre Afanassiev at http://www.fosterquan.com/Firm/Attorneys/Attorney/?id=45 got him out fast. The head of immigration at the detention center told my friend Alexandre is the 'best immigration attorney' there is. He is expensive and only takes on some cases but he is the best of the best. The original Alexandre recommendation came from a girl that has worked at multiple immigration law firms in Houston and said he was the best too. She didn't hesitate in saying Alexandre as if the dude walks on water.
OP. Go with the actual BOSS. Gordon Quan at FosterQuan. If you can't get him then I guess IBTL's recommendation. Either way Foster Quan is the way to go. Get the Quan.
Yea I have been reading up and FosterQuan has been coming up quite a bit...any idea how much they will charge?
Re-opening USCIS decisions are not easy. As others have suggested, I think Foster Quan might be the way to go.
Sorry man, just saw this. Not sure how much but my mother used them to help the entire family get naturalized. I'll try to find out.
