Game 3, especially Steve's back to back INCREDIBLE layups. Dominating the Fakers on Christmas. Whipping the T'Wolves. Finally beating the Mavs was nice.
All of the games (10) I went to this year. Christmas win Beating the Mavs (was there) Boki knocking the Mailman on his ass.
Boki's reversal of fortune: He went from getting posterized by gerald wallace in the preseason, and carmelo anthony in the opener, to jamming on malone and throwing his sh*t into the first row.
Yao's big game against the Lakers that he finished off by sending Shaq to the floor with his 6th foul. A game that showed the unlimited potential of the Rockets' young star.
Yao owning the paint vs shaq in season series/ and let him in a career low 8 pts in the playoff boki slaming dunk vs mailman and after the altercation block the shot (let the mailman with a little bit of this is my home court B_I_T_C_H get out of him) Yao career high in point vs atlanta in a triple overtime win JJ buzer beater vs chicago YAo ally up to steve francis in all star game yao givin some block shots to kobe and shaq yao in a own paint game vs orlando steve averg a near triple doble in playoff series it really was a pretty good season
4-way tie: 1. Christmas win over LA. 2. Yao's 41 point 30T game. 3. Winning in Seattle. 4. Last Friday.
Thanks for this post. I was thinking of posting this topic, but am just to lazy/slow. My favorite was game 4 of the playoffs. I know we lost, but man what a jamming crowd. The lower bowl was on its feet with 8 minutes to go in hte 4th quarter, and stayed up. This was my 9th season a s a season ticket holder, and I have seen a lot fo flat and frankly boring games. I took people to games where the whold scene (game, play, crowd) was so flat I was embarassed to bring a person to that. That game four crowd was the most enthusiastic I can remember in a long while. I really felt a corner was turned. I figure people who went to that game will want to go to other games and scream their heads off. I like that. Second favorite is that we are a JVG team. I love Rudy T. If I were the owner, he could be the coach for as long as he wants. But the undiciplined play of the last few years was really hard for me to watch. I just couldn't respect it. I love Van Gundy's no excuses. These are the results - end of story. I can't wait to see year two. Third was the development of Yao. Still room to grow, in fact a need to grow. But flashes that he really could be something special. I hate to admit it but Pat Ewing did a good job. We always want more, but overall I am satisfied with this season.
That was mine as well. Yao pwn3d Shaq that day. Pwn3d might be too strong a word (Shaq had 24 and 9), but let's not let objectivity get in the way of homer selective memory.
My favorite moment of the past season was when the VP of the I-hate-JVG fan club...Rice Rocket...quit posting...
Since it is fresh on my mind. Boki coming in the playoffs and sparking the team a bit..mainly throwing the crap out of Malone's Shot and turning his back and walking away.
