There is a major difference between a shove out of bounds and a direct hit to the knee, which could have been easily avoided.

I think it's safe to say that Allen's illegal hit was vicious.

Come on, you know that's standard gamesmanship. Schaub would've started Sept. 1 (the day after the "injury") if there were an actual game, and Kubiak said as much. But when it comes to game week, NFL coaches thrive on trying to create as much mystery and uncertainty in their gameplans as possible.

    I hope that's the case.

The "casual" football fans who put out fantasy mags all said Schaub is awesome if he can stay on the field...but they didn't use long enough acronyms to interest a sabermetrician, so doubtless their opinion is useless.

Personally I hope Matt goes 18-1..with the only loss coming in week 7 or 8 or something..but I don't see it happening.

Orvolsky just looks dreadful out there. He puts nothing on his throws. With him in there, the offense is gonna struggle to move the ball. He just does not have the arm that grossman has. Niether are good decision makers. Dan stares down recievers far too often and will be picked off a ton playing against first stringers. Grossman makes his share of boneheaded plays as well, but at the end of the day, he gives this team the vertical threat that they need.
