I agree with this statement. These are the 2 who can grow the most and have the highest potential. Courtney Lee is also borderline keeper.

    Starting rebuilding lineup of

    PG - T-Will
    SG - C-Lee
    SF - Unknown
    PF - PPat
    C - Unknown.

Seriously, no one on this team is untouchable. When someone says that a player is untouchable, it means that whoever that wants that specific player for another player the trade proposal is automatically denied. I can see Morey trading every player on this roster, sure Patrick Patterson and Terrence Williams are good prospects but they aren't untouchable.

For example a the Bulls decided to trade Joakim Noah to the Rockets for PPat and Twill I'm pretty sure Morey would accept that trade in a heartbeat. With that being said I'm sure they are not untouchable.

The Rockets are and have been in the process of building. I think everyone on the team should be considered for trading if the trade gets us closer to being a championship squad. But that doesn't mean everyone should be traded. It's unlikely Martin will be traded, because apparently Morey sees him as a key component of a championship team. I agree. There's no point in trading away a Martin in order to get another Martin. Same goes for other players. Depending on who else Morey gets on the team, any of the current players might be considered a necessary part of the team, and kept. It just depends on how they fit together. There are scenarios in which you'd want to trade Scola, for instance, and others in which you want to keep him because of how he fits with other players you bring in. One thing for sure - the team has some good players, and some of them still could be a key part of a championship team.

I'm stunned at the amount of anti-Martin comments, I wasnt sold on him when he first arrived, but is one of our most consistent performers, along with Battier and Scola.

Maybe it's because he goes about his job quietly as opposed to other 20ppg players who have the big personality and mouth to go along with it?

I look at Martin as part of the solution and the problem, elite scorer but can defend if his life depended on it which is basically the bizarro pre-2011 Chuck Hayes. Chuck was the same way before this season, loved the effort and dedication he gave the defensive end but ZERO offensive skills and Adelman would rather start him or big men who could at least score a little bit. Martin is the exact opposite and same, guy is beautiful to watch on the offensive end but makes you cringe on the defensive end.

People like to bring up how good he is offensively, and he is, but there are two sides to every story and those 23 ppg don't seem as proficient when he allows Randy Foye to go for 20 or JJ Barea/Jason Kidd to combine for 30 and 14(I know it wasn't always him but a lot of time he was guarding either or).

Would I like to see him traded, honestly, NO because I think if you put a strong 4/5 defensive shot blocking combo out there and a lot of his mistakes can be hidden. That said, not many out there to pair with Chuck or PPat. That's why Tyson Chandler on the Rockets would have made a HUGE difference and why someone liked that is essential if they plan to keep Kev around.
