Rockets own the Suns this season, the only loss was a last second fluke, and a game we shouldve won. However, the Rockets have always proven to NOT rise to the occassion when it counts the most.....hope they prove me worng. This is scary Note: Hey Sane.....you still in the UAE?? and how exactly do you watch Rocket Games, or do you??
Ya, I'm still here! A friend of mine has NBATV, so I catch the few games they put on there, and as for the rest, my cousin in Houston sends bunches of them to me once in a while so I watch them that way. Hey, it's better than nothing. How about you? Did you say you're at AUD or AUS?
The worst result we can get from tomorrow's epic match is a DRAW. Nothing less. This game will be Houston's 2nd "playoff" game this year already. I hope the "6th Men" come cheering louder than ever before.
Am still stuck in AUS Man! what abt u? i had NBA TV for a while but got cut off for some reason....can you please tell me how to get NBA TV? and what Network/cable should i get??? All i have is stinkin' ESPN, that's like 4 games a year for me
LOL, I'm at AUS too now man. My AUD plans got cut off when I pitched this 3-month rest period to my parents, lol. Anyway, I had NBATV too. It's part of ART and apparently, you need to get a whole AR sports package to get it. You can call Showtime (04-8088888) and they'll connect you to whoever you need to talk to. It's a shame though, I got a good look at lots of other NBA teams with NBATV. Hey, do you ever play basketball at the Sports Complex? E-mail me ehsan@parham.com
Rockets are going to find away to win this game. Man I wish I could atleast listen to this game in Radio. Anyone has a good link that actually works
It will be really hard for Rox to win. It seemed that Marbury and Marion went back to lives in the Kings' game. If Rox can't hold them, Rox can't win.
Only No.4 makes sense here. Here is my position by position comparision. Center(5): advantage Rockets++ ****Yao's defensive intimidation will be huge in this game since Marbury & Marion's penetration is a big part of Suns game; Power Forward(4): Even ****Both Amare & EG are terrible defenders, but Amare has the edge on the board, EG has better shooting touch Small Forward(3): Advantage Suns++ ****Marrion will eat Posey alive. Shooting Guard(2): Advantage Rockets+ ****Mobley should have a slight edge over Jo Johnson if he plays under control, but Johnson has been playing very well lately. Point Guard(1): Advantage Suns++ ****Murbary is the soul of the Suns, and he is playing his best ball of his life. He is better than Francis in almost all aspects, except rebounding, a better scorer, a much better ball handler & passer. I hate the guy, though Coach: Even ****With the way these two teams have been playing this season, neither of them deserve the edge here. Bench: Advantage Suns+ ****Suns should have a bigger advantage here, but they are working both Hardway & Gugliotta into their regular rotation right now, so the bench strength won't that obvious in this game. X factor: Rockets+++ ****Both teams have been playing well, the Rockets are on a season-record 4-game winnign streak; the Suns have beaten San Antonio, Portland, and Sacramento this month. The edge is on the Rockets side since they are a far, FAR BETTER team at home, and this is a HOME GAME for them. My prediction: Rockets 94, Suns 91
Amare has a huge edge. Now don't be so sure. Posey was awesome defending Marion last time. Cuttino Mobley vs. an inexperienced, young, raw player who is just beginning to come into his own? Joe goes for 40. Yeah he sucks, but you're right - he's gonna make stevie look like a NBDLer. Amare will kill us. Rocks have no chance. Closest they'll be in this game is 0-0.
yah. almost all aspects, except 3p%, ft%, points per attempt(better scorer? by takin 3 more shots per game? ), steals, blocks, rebs......
Doubt it...both teams are going to play like there is no tomorrow, I see a very sloppy very close game!!!
Center(5): advantage Rockets++ ****Yao's defensive intimidation will be huge in this game since Marbury & Marion's penetration is a big part of Suns game; Power Forward(4): Even ****Both Amare & EG are terrible defenders, but Amare has the edge on the board, EG has better shooting touch Sorry, Eddie at least block shots, while amare is lucky to intimidate ANYONE in a defensive set. Amare is a much better offensive player in the paint, and will negate any possible blocks eddie could get because he'll dunk over eddie again and again. Sure Eddie could stop him from going right, but Eddies not smart enough to do that yet...Suns have a slight advantage here b/c MoT should score enough to even out some of the points Amare will put up. Small Forward(3): Advantage Suns++ ****Marrion will eat Posey alive. Shooting Guard(2): Advantage Rockets+ ****Mobley should have a slight edge over Jo Johnson if he plays under control, but Johnson has been playing very well lately. Johnson's been playing 'very' well lately? In march he's shooting 41% from the field and 45% from the FT line! How are any of these stats worthy of being called VERY WELL? Whatever. Point Guard(1): Advantage Suns++ ****Murbary is the soul of the Suns, and he is playing his best ball of his life. He is better than Francis in almost all aspects, except rebounding, a better scorer, a much better ball handler & passer. I hate the guy, though someone already posted how ridiculous of a statement this is, almost none of it is based on any kind of stats, just opinion. Nice try. Coach: Even ****With the way these two teams have been playing this season, neither of them deserve the edge here. Bench: Advantage Suns+ ****Suns should have a bigger advantage here, but they are working both Hardway & Gugliotta into their regular rotation right now, so the bench strength won't that obvious in this game. Maurice Taylor? Kelvin Cato? In March MoT has scored the same PPG as both Hardaway and Googs COMBINED! Throw in the occasional points Cato scores and all the big boards and blocks Cato provides, then I'd say the Rox have the advantage there...thats if you want to involve 'facts' into the arguement which you obviously didn't care about.
Don’t think so. Anyhow, I like to think that I'm pretty objective in my Bball analysis...Yao isn't as aggressive as I'd like him to be, and Amare is CRAP when it comes to D. And you aren't a Suns homer? Please slinslin, I'm thinking this is the last we will see of you and your Suns BS for the rest of the season. Amare is NOT even close to ROY...he has 1 move and no D...Think about it objectively and quit being so biased. The Suns catch other teams by suprise...that’s how they beat them...they have NO D at ALL! The Rox beat them pretty good tonight and we are at the bottom of the western conference! Pretty sad. No hand in any shooters face, no inside D, no one to guard Yao...the D-less Suns list of ineptitude goes on and on. Good luck for the rest of the season, just pray that you are at least a half a game over the rox at the end. PS: Please don't bring that BS about the refs, your crediblity is pretty low because of that crap. Oh, wait its because Mebury was hurt, right? Excuses, Excuses. 'GREAT GAME BY MEBURY' : 7-22 fg 5 TO...way to step up ‘Stepped-ON MEburied’...LOL. Amare 3-10 fg, choked ft's at the end..., 1 assist?, 9 rebounds in 39 MINUTES? WTH is that? Nice dunk and block on Yao...funny...at least Yao will contest most dunks, unlike amare.
HAHAHAHAHAH. So.....who won? Who's the better coach? I saw your coach yelling and asking his assistants to tell him something......................incompetent. Actually. He did do a pretty good job changing his game plan in the second half. Okay. Stephon Marbury vs. Steve Francis. Marbury definitely looked better. But Francis didn't feel the need to meet the challenge yesterday. Those days are hopefully over. Anyways...Francis barely got the ball. They surrounded him and he was forced to pass to Mobley. He still managed 12 points and 6 assists on 33% shooting. Sure. Marbury scored 19...7-22. And he still had 7 assists. As well as 5 turnovers. Cuttino Mobley vs. Anfernee Hardaway. Hardaway is still good. He was the only Sun who shot at least 50%. He is still a good player. Mobley also shot 50%. So it was pretty even. Mobley had 7 assists...as well 3 turnovers. Even though he did have 7 assists...he missed many easy opportunities. It was even. James Posey vs. Marion. Well of course...Marion is way better. Posey contributed by....getting 1 steal. That was his only stat. Marion still managed like 15 points...but took many shots. He's a good player definitely. Eddie Griffin vs. Amare Stoudemire. Well...of course. Amare can abuse Eddie. But that didn't happen. We just put Cato or Mo Taylor or Yao helping on him. He wasn't very victorious. He still had like 12 points...luckily. And that one big block was pretty good...and he had one slam dunk. But he was blocked a couple times too. Eddie Griffin and Mo Taylor combined...did better than Amare Stoudemire and Tom Gugliotta and Dan Langhi and Bo Outlaw. Yao Ming vs. Jake Tsakalidis. Well Yao is better. Tsakalalidis wasn't bad. But he couldn't stop Yao. He liked fouled out. Neither could Scott Williams. Or anyone else. BENCH. Now what.......our bench scored 31 points. And your bench...scored uhh...5 points? Very deep bench eh. Just a bad night. Cato looked better than Amare!! My God. If you watch them running down the court...they look almost similar, but Cato is a little bigger. And Cato makes free throws now! Anyways. We won.
