Agree 100%!!! Again I say... Keep the youth! We are rebuilding. We have three 1st rd players this yr, we should end up with two lottery picks next yr... May end up more with additional moves of Scola and Martin, plus a potential sign and trade of Lee. With all this we would be WAY AHEAD OF SCHEDULE in the rebuilding process. Please please don't bring in any players that don't want to be here, may have health issues or are not worth the max (Bynum)!!!!
Your thread is very logical if everything stays the same after the next 24 hours. If for some reason Morey pulls off getting Bynum then things change. If he gets Howard we wont know for a year if it worked out or not. If he does nothing you have a valid thread though.
This is the best off season we have had in years. There are a lot of changes going on so I think things will be better than they have been the last couple of years.
The other threads are bad, yours is pathetic. You have 0 knowledge about basketball, not contracts, not cap management, not players talents, nothing. Lock this faker up.
Hey Matt, I respect you for posting this, it is tough to be a realist. But the way I look at it is that it is a two part realism. A) For a team that has had some respectable talent on paper, we went nowhere. Fifth seed once, and nowhere in the playoffs. B) All this talk about what our new players are going to do, past and present is just talk. Fun talk perhaps, but it is just second guessing folks who do this professionally. Nothing wrong with that, but you might as well be listening to JoeBlowYaoMcGrady tell you how to really find the Higgs Boson. Bottom line is that the team does suck, but we can love them just the same. Certain aspects are pretty clear to everyone. The status quo is gone. Big changes are here. Good or bad, pay your nickle and cast your vote. Will Moreyball work? Can you keep trading assets like your are playing Poker and come out on top? I think we are fixing to find out. Well, actually it may take a while. It took a while to discover, longer for some, that the Yao / Tracy experiment was a big waste of time. My personal take on the whole mess is that this is probably as good a game plan as any. What concerns me is that we will end up with assets that are statistically a good team, but can't punch their way out of a paper bag. I hope that McHale can have some influence here. It will be interesting to watch, but unlike poker, you can only play the hand you are dealt so far. Bluffing your way to a championship is probably not in the cards. But the improbable can happen, we could have found three superstars in the draft and away we go. I guess that is why they play the game.
Op probably only knows the superstars... They're rebuilding dude... Loading up for a youth movement or a superstar trade.
Yes we suck. We are one of the youngest team in the league (for sure youngest when we trade luis and kevin). But we need to get bad to get better in the long run.
quit crying like a baby. We've got enough 6'9 forwards for a starting line up! PG parsons SG Morris SF t jOnes PF patterson C scola Luer? Brockman? NBA record for most forwards ever! Haaaaail yeah!
Oh really I know nothing about basketball? Since when did this francise win the championship? 94-95? Okay but when will this championship make a move to win again against Miami? Not until LeBron retires...Ill at least face that reality...
Yes because that's what Daryl Morey wants...not. We/ve been rebuilding for 3 years now, know your basketball, we suck face it.
