Well these plays are better than the ones they currently are using...they need to utilize everyone's skills and strengths. ;)
I know! WE HAVE A 7'6" GUY WHO CAN SHOOT! JESUS! Shouldn't be THAT hard....
And an All Star Point Guard...
Anyways.....a guy like Quentin Richardson could easily play Cuttino Mobley's role..except won't have to do iso plays and force up shots.
Cuttino Mobley, Eddie Griffin, Glen Rice, Kelvin Cato, Terence Morris, and a 1st Round Draft Pick
    FOR
Elton Brand, Quentin Richardson, and Marko Jaric! Woohoo! :D Sorry for putting that here...

I am confident that Rudy will design plays that will fit our team that will be as simple as these...and successful and similar. Patience! I hope...

I'm not good at Xs and Os. So I don't know if MacBeth's plays will work. I know he must not have thought something bad. :)

But one thing I know. If it's a simple play, Rudy probably knows it. And if we don't see it in games, there are 2 possible reasons:

    1. Rudy doesn't like it. He's too stubborn or he knows the defense will kill it somehow. Whatever.

    or

    2. The players can't run it even in practice. :(

The plays I mentioned, while priobably inadvertantly stolen from some of my coaches, watching games, etc., were at least to my awareness, my versions of what I can see working with the talent we have, and the priorities I feel we need to stress. Doubt that they themselves have been contemplated, but I could be wrong.

And I think that pro coaching is an organic thing...especially trying to do it on the fly, as Yao caused the Rox to do last year...so I think it's a disservie to Rudy to assume that what didn't work was because of lack of ability or willingness...It may have been lack of opportunity/exposure to the brilliant basketball genius that is MacBeth...:D

    MacBeth,

I'm not saying that Rudy actually knows some plays exactly like yours. I know you're an original brilliant basketball genius. ;)

But I know Rudy likes to dream up plays on napkins. I simply trusted your thread title, which says they are simple plays. And if they are simple, the chances of Rudy's ever thought of something similar should be pretty good.

Yep.......but he usually is too afraid to try new things. Sticks with same stuff...he likes stable consistent same stuff all day.
