I think most people here underestimate Dan Langhi.

I think that he can be a VERY good SF in the NBA. The only thing he lacks is playing time to get comfortable at this level.

Dan Langhi is the man....and will be this year....watch and see.

but Crisco and heyp, if you need a PF/C and a SF, pick your battles wisely. A Richard Jefferson at #13 and a Ken Johnson (for example) at #22 would be more solvent than any combo including Loren Woods at #13.

Now if and when we get a top 3 pick, fine... choose a Center (1: Brown?, 2: Curry?, 3: Diop). If that doesn't happen, and the Rockets keep the #13 pick, choosing a Center at #13 is out of the question.

What Small Forwards are FAs? What Power Forward/Center types are FAs?

Shane B had a great college career. However, he reminds me of Rodney McCray, the man the Rockets chose instead of Clyde Drexler. Joe Johnson or Richard Jefferson have huge upsides. I don't know who is better. However, I do know that we need to put together a package of Anderson, Cato, Rogers, Thomas and/or Williams in a straight up or three-way deal to get a center of the future (Diop! Diop! Diop! since there will be no Ming! Ming! Ming!). That's the way I see it but I could be wrong.

Weren't you making a prediction that most teams, now able to play zone, would overload the floor with tall Fs, making it difficult to pass and shoot over the top?

If so, why put Stevie and Cat on the wings?

I mean, yes with that lineup (Mooch, Steve, Cat), theoretically you can outrun every team, but who rebounds, who defends? Remember, PHX has been playing small-ball forever, which is also the same amount of time the Suns have been out of serious championship contention.

Also, visioning Cat matched up defensively with Reef, Dirk, Mashburn, McGrady, etc., scares the HELL out of me.

I still feel that SF is the Rocks' weakest position, this is the perfect draft to FINALLY solidify this spot.

No. I never said "most teams". I said a few, and Rudy does, too.

...we already do, and they need a shotblocker/rebounder backing them up.

I would like to edit that word "theoreticically" and replace it with "we have proven". Fair enough?

Yes I agree. And how would even Grant Hill help with this!

My point exactly. You are trying to turn us into Phoenix, by making SF highest priority, whereas I'm looking at the 76'rs chemistry. Remember that Phoenix recently added the best rebounding and most aggressive SF in the game. Did that help them overall!!

Is Larry Brown worried about the SGs Iverson guards as long as they have a premier shotblocker behind him? Were you scared last year when Cuttino lined up against McGrady, Carter, Sprewell? Nobody matches up with 7' Nitwitz....leave him out of it. Isn't the East loaded with tall SGs and great SFs? Didn't we crush the East, last year? What are you so scared about vs me being scared of facing the PF/Cs of the West without Dream and Cato. Think about it. Cato is a good as gone from a couple of Clutch/Popeye inside sources, and Dream will be in a year if not sooner. We must continue rebuilding our PFs and Cs.

What do you mean "finally"? This team pretty much one year old.....Now I get it: You guys have some pent-up desire for a small forward since Horry left. Leave history out of this. Those teams had a premier Center. This team does not, and might not even have more than *one* center entering camp, if we make SF top priority.

Are we not a guard-oriented team with no frontline depth, rebounding, or defense. How does a SF fix that, even Shawn Marion? imo, any increase in rebounding from a SF would accompany decreased rebounding from Francis/Mobley, simply from change in roles in who releases on shots vs who attacks the boards. Shandon/Walt were our releasers last year. If a Marion comes here, who releases on the fastbreak?

Fundamentally speaking, if you want a net increase in rebounding/defense, it starts with the C and PF position.
