People want big name coaches, but instead of pie in disguise candidates, let’s consider what Tilman can actually afford.

What are some of the most affordable assistants, G-League and mid-major college coaches that would fit well with the team?

It would be amazing if Morey was given the ability to bring in a lesser known coach. It would cost less and end up working out better. These retreads are going to cost more and end up the same. WCF in year one or two and that's it.

    Chris Finch please.

I don't hear anyone advocated for pie in disguise candidates. That said, I would be open to learning what pie in disguise means.

I’d be shocked if it’s not Kelvin Sampson.

The initial candidates would seem to be folks like Lue, Finch, Van Gundy, Van Gundy or Sampson. I really think it's gong to be tough to convince a "quality" coach to walk into this situation, so I kind of expect another gamble, but this time from an assistant (Finch seems like a logical choice).

That said, I don't think any coach will be a difference maker. Elite coaches are very, very, very rare.

    Daryl Morey.

Fat ass Daryl needs to get his ass down there and coach his team. His team, his roster, his system/philosophy (he has a GD system named after him), he hired/fired Mike's assistants; he can hire his own little coaching staff. Get your ass down there Daryl & work. Break out all your nerd numbers during the timeouts.

How much would it cost for Bob O’Brien to take the job as a side gig?

Tillman’s broke and can’t afford the team. Why even have a coach. I can call Harden ISO.

Do we need a head coach? Maybe just let the players coach themselves. Is that allowed?

I'll be a head coach. I'm very affordable, as I'd do it for free.

(Tilman's radar should be going bananas right now)

Get a coach in here so we can play 3 bigs and we can take exclusively mid range jumpers, that would make CFs very happy.

Pat Fava! He currently coaches the New York Towers which is a Dwarf Basketball team! He'll know what to do with this roster and size!
