    great centers are huge. they bring championships. like shaq, russell, olajuwon....and BIRD?????

    also, i would replace the line "where would san antonio be w/out david robinson" with " where would s.a. be w/out tim duncan".

    no duncan = no rings for admiral.

    He should have added Magic then. He played as center too when they got a championship without Jabaar, if memory doesn't fail me. Plus he's wrong on a center taking a championship all by himself. First of all there's the Bulls. And the game is different right now than it was even last decade.

    You just need good teamwork and ofcourse a Center will help, but not without significant help from teammates. Potentially, you could win a championship with a great center and a great PG, but it would be difficult.
    Now if you also have a good SG or SF you're doing business, I don't think you need a really good PF if you have have a good SG/SF.

    But it all depends on the coach utilising whatever weapons they have in their armory to their best ability. I haven't been watching the rockets that closely so i don't know what JVG can do, but spanoulis is an aded interest to me, if he'll be playing, so i'll be seeing if he's a coach that can do that.
