Try telling that to Obama who can't even get a Stimulus bill passed without the Democrats hijacking the bill and adding a megaton of pork.

Maybe you could advise Obama to bypass Congress altogether and start signing some bills.

Perhaps you need to watch "How a Bill becomes a law"

All Presidents sign pork bills sooner or later because there is no line item veto - another great idea proposed by the Great Ronald Reagan but rejected by Libs in judicial.

    Free education for pgarbriel!!!

It is times like these that congress passes crap that will take years to get rid of if we ever can.

Birth control and abortions for the economy? It is just a pure lie.

Due to restrictive laws most firearms are made in the USA. Why not give everyone a 200 dollar tax refund for buying one to help the economy.

These losers are putting their own politcal motives ahead of working the problem.

You really should educate yourself before trying to educate others. The Line Item Veto Act was passed in 1996 with a GOP Congress and Democratic President. Two different Reagan-appointed judges declared it unconstitutional, and the Supreme Court concurred on a bipartisan basis.

dude, I don't know why everytime you respond to me you feel free to go off on some tangent about what you think you know more than me about.

you claimed the budget was the congress's fault as if the president had nothing to do with it. I responded with a simple reply about who signs the bill into law

I was right, no need for the pissing match, and btw, congress was majority republican bush's first six years

There is actually good reason for that not to exist. Bipartisan bills would never exist. A good idea in principle, not really good in practice.

You are decided to start this misinformed pissing match with that awful and misleading chart.

I just pointed out your fallacy.

Congress makes budgets and Presidents either approve or reject the bill as WHOLE. That is called compromise. You are quick to blame all the Republican Presidents for increasing debt and credit Democratic Presidents for lowering it when in fact Both Reagan and Clinton had to work with opposition in Congress. So the blame to Reagan should be shared by the Democratic Congress and credit to Clinton must be equally given to a Republican Congress.

The only thing I agree with you is that the last 8 years were bad fiscal policy by an all powerful Republican Government. However that doesn't give the Democrats a clean state after they have plundered so much of our money since the New Deal. I just want Democrats to stop dreaming of the Clinton fantasy of prosperity in the 90's when a Republican Congress passed all the bills.

Give credit where its due and I will stand by you in criticizing Bush and his Republican Congress.
