The estimated economic benefit to the USA of the TPP was 0.1%, a rounding error, and they were using some pretty fantastical assumptions to give the estimated growth rates of the countries involved, some were quite high, i think it was chile that was up around 10%.

Moreso to that it was going to be a pretty lopsided relationship with the benefits flowing up and the costs flowing down, the funny part is the cost of your government's legal cases that the TPP would have allowed was likely going to be that economic growth, lol.

I think more real concern. I think the TPP (which would have included the US, Mexico, and Canada) would have been a better way to counter China and form stronger economic ties with one the fastest growing areas economically in the Pacific Rim.

Was the 0.1% vs. previous status quo or vs. a new deal that doesn't include the US?

Would love to see the numbers and analysis behind the analysis if you can find it.

a # you've just made up on your own.

not surprising, this is coming from someone who had parroted the spin / lie that President Reagan
was working at a time of open trade, didn't have to deal w unfair trade practices from another country,

what assumptions are you referring to?
