Imagine if we could then send Battier over to Orlando for Gortat (1-for-1, benefits both teams). We'd have a really well-balanced squad with no areas needing improvement IMO.
Because its Houston but I think it was just a dude asking people how that deal sounds to other people
Iguodala is a good player. If there is a inkling of truth to this, he has been quantified by the rockets, meaning he is of more value to the rockets than ariza considering what we would be giving up.
The trade makes sense for both teams. Jrue Holiday Evan Turner Trevor Ariza Elton Brand Spencer Hawes --------------------- Mareese Speights Jordan Hill Louis Williams Thaddeus Young THAT IS DEEP! Aaron Brooks Kevin Martin Andre Iguodala Luis Scola Yao Ming --------------------- Kyle Lowry Chase Budinger Patrick Patterson Shane Battier Chuck Hayes THAT IS DEEP!
IF this trade proposal is true DM should accept it in a heartbeat. Fact is Iggy is the swingman equivalent of Bosh, a near-max guy making max money. Iggy is basically a souped-up version of Ariza-elite defender, freak athlete, really good finisher on the break. Unlike Ariza though, Iggy has decent ball-handling skills and can create a little bit for others. With Martin, Brooks and Iggy as our backcourt we can run even PHX out of the building. On the other hand Martin and Brooks can provide the spacing Yao needs in the halfcourt, while Iggy can lock up the other team's best player and do some drive and kicks.
don't think morey can to get him here. if he does it'll be the steal of the summer. Iggy's got game but he has that swagger that this team could really use. if we can't get him I really really hope we get Gerald Wallace. pipedream i know
Throw in a first round rockets draft pick + trade exception of Landry for Iggy, Speights and Smith ... only when Miller can't resist the Miami Heat call Maybe sign Finley to vet min. (But, I think he'll be back with Celtics or maybe signs with the Heat) http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2553edo PG: Brooks/Lowry/Smith (?) SG: Martin/Bud/Finley SF: Iggy/Battier/Taylor (?) PF: Scola/Patterson/Johnson (?) C: Yao/Speights/Smith Maybe asking a Sixers second round pick in return, in the package for Iggy ...
I like the souped-up version of Trevor Ariza comparisons, but I would compare him to a middle-class (probably lower-middle class) man's Lebron James.
