I would only do this deal if the Rockets have zero chance of getting Danny Granger.

He would provide a little height, a little shotblocking... would be helpful.

Exactly, Iggy is like Ariza except better in every area.

PULL.THE.TRIGGER. If Philly agrees to this, this would be a great move even if we had to throw in a pick.

You must not pay much attention to other NBA players besides the ones playing in the rockets. IGGY>>> Ariza, even if he's paid more.

Makes sense, Sixers have been looking to move Iggy, Turner could replace him and he could be a better player for cheaper. Ariza and Hill are good value.

What I don't understand is can Iggy play the 3? He would have to here, as Martin is the 2, so why can't he just do that in Philly?

Also if you make this trade you might be out of assets to make a move for a better player like CP3, Carmelo, or Granger at the deadline.

Just for fun let's say we make that trade and then trade for Paul and Okafor moving AB, Jeffries, Bud and picks, most likely in a 3 way trade to move AB to say the Pacers and maybe Granger to the Hornets.

    CP3/Lowry
    Martin/Taylor
    Iguodala/Battier
    Scola/Patterson/Hayes
    Yao/Okafor/Andersen

Yep this is Morey's ultimate plan

I would definately do the deal.

    Brooks / Lowry
    Martin / Budinger / Taylor
    Iggy / Battier
    Scola / Patterson
    Yao / Hayes / Andersen

    is pretty freaking solid.

This has a Morey Smell to it. Both teams get there needs met no one is getting raped unwilling or eating really horrible contracts.

The only down side I see is that I know about the deal. Morey keeps his deals ultra close to the vest its seems like every time a deal gets out this early it does not happen.

This deal feel like a it will be here when i want it deal for the Sixers. If they really like the deal they can wait till the deadline and to do it so they end up playing less of Jared's Salary and get to see if any of your talent looks good enough to try and include in the deal.

It would be nice if it went down but I doubt it happens, seems to early for the Sixers to get rid of iggy with out even seeing the kind of in game impact Turner makes.

Iggy is also more overpaid than Ariza.

If Brooks gets a raise, we could be seeing a starting 5 with everyone making 9+ million dollars, plus Lowry who will be making 6. Also, can Iggy play off the ball? Will he be content being a 4th option offensively?

    I'm not sure about that.

Iggy earns almost twice as much as Ariza but only a small upgrade in terms of stats.
and Hill for whoever that is, Id say no to this trade.

Iggy is a swingman, but I believe his natural position is SF.

If we Could get a 3rd team to include a back-up Center with some size and defense I'd be all for it, but for just Iggy for Ariza? Pass.

I think it's Jason Smith. He played at Colorado State.

while iggy is overrated he is way better than ariza. Funny they kinda look alike.

My only concerns here are that Iguodala has let being on a crappy team get to him the last couple of seasons - efficiency slipping, production slipping, defense slipping. And at $12M....I'm not sure he's going to transition extremely well.

Say what you will about Ariza, we definitely get tons of effort and hustle out of him at $6M per.
