Man, I dont have a problem with DA, Chuck, and JJ and others being payed good (i hope i make that clear, except i do KINDA have prob with DA), but i do have a problem with some of them being payed MORE than our starting pg and last years carrier of the team AB... only 1 mil??

But i guess morey is doing the right thing, he doesnt want Brooks to end up as all the other overpayed MIP's... bums. Brooks should get an extension after this year if he plays like hes been playing.. and with the money we gave to Scola and Klow (deserved) i hope its a somewhat big one..

Some people here sound as if they have a problem with our Rockets being payed (i dont, making it clear again).. i say hey, if they play hard and have a good image, then they deserve every penny. ;)

    Oh, yeah.

Based on some rough numbers (making certain assumptions with the signings of Patterson, Lowry and Scola, and assuming that Harris and Johnson are cut with no guaranteed salary), I have the current Rockets total team salary between $75 million and $76 million. This is all BEFORE signing a guy like Brad Miller, who will essentially now cost Les Alexander double his agreed-upon salary when factoring in the luxury tax (the threshold for which is $70.307M).

Man, it's almost like someone PREDICTED this would happen back in February. ;)

People need to shut the hell up about Les Alexander and his "unwillingness to spend".

No offense Bima, but Les has made an absolute killing these last two years with all those large contracts covered by insurance money, he can afford a one year hickey and still be WAY WAY WAY out ahead.

Not to mention that if they trade Jeffries for a trade exception BEFORE the end of the year they may just slip back under that tax line.

I agree he is willing to spend, but if you follow the $$$$ trail he is not one of the NBA's biggest spenders.

The salary chart lists 15 players. Harris not included, but I thought he was on the roster. Brad Miller would make 17. We can only start the season with 15, right? So two would have to be let go? Assume Harris and Johnson? Ish? invited to camp? What players could we still possibly lose by start of season? Go easy - I'm a girl trying to understand.

Wait until Hill, Jeffries, & $3M are packaged to T-Wolves for Ryan Hollins :)

Has anyone seen or heard anything from Lowry since they said they were going to match? If he has said anything I missed it, just wondering if he may be upset about not being a starter. Hopefully he's glad to be back and filthy rich in the process.
