You people love the way I post it gives yall something to joke about and I don't mind. But on a serious not the pain still haven't went away. Should I go through ER?
I've had this happen before, it was a crick in my neck. It was the most uncomfortable thing I've ever experienced. It went away after about 4 days. If you really want to get rid of it, try a chiropractor.
Most of us aren't doctors, and if any of us were, we would tell you to go to the doctor. However, chances are good that you either: - Threw something out in your neck, in which case you can either wait for it to correct itself or go to a chiropractor and get it adjusted, or - You're sick, and your lymph nodes are swollen in your neck, a common cause of neck pain. or... - Something else a doctor would only know. A basketball forum probably isn't the best place to find medical advice, even though I've tried it myself before. You don't have to go to the ER, though, there are day clinics open on Saturday. Just call around. If you want a chiropractor and are anywhere near Jersey Village, I know a really good one that would see you on Saturday.
Thanks for the help but I'm not in Houston. I will take your advice and call some local clinics and maybe a hospital as well.
I had something similar happen to me earlier this year, but the pain was more a really horrible throbbing in my neck and back of my head. It lasted for about 6 weeks and was seriously the most miserable time of my life. In the end they think it was a pinched nerve, because MRI's and everything were normal. Try taking some anti-inflammatory meds like Ibuprofen or Aleve. That would usually ease my pain for about 3 hours before I'd have to pop more. If it doesn't go away by Monday, I would go see a Neurologist.
Dude, you just slept in an awkward position so therefore your neck is sore. Same thing happened to me like 2 days ago. Neck still hurts as I type this but the pain is going away day by day. Grab a towel and rub it back and forth, that helps. And please dont go to the ER, you would just be gettin in the way. No wonder the damn ERs are always jammed packed, people going when they dont even have to.
Winner! KC, I hope they hire you to co-write the next Star Trek flick ("re-booted" version). You have a gift!
I was just talking to someone who told me that her coworker was experiencing a lot of back pain and was seeing a chiropractor for a while without getting anything more than temporary relief. One day, it finally got so bad she went to a hospital, and they found cancer alll along her spine. The coworker is not dead yet in a literal sense, but it doesn´t look good.
A lot of times, neck pain is a result of a stiff shoulder. Get someone to massage your shoulders. It could help.
