Reaching the WCF may be a greater blessing than we all realise

    1. Dwight Howard's future as a Houston Rocket and player option.
I think the past 2 postseasons has shown us the value of Dwight Howard. He is still well worthy of a max contract. Outrebounding DJ, defending Blake in the 4th Q of game 6 to lead a huge comeback and being an all around defensive anchor this series are all major reasons we won against the Clippers. We all know Dwight's attitude before he got to Houston - He's desperate to win and he's willing to leave your team if management can't deliver a promising core. I think we have all the pieces to contend the next 3-4 years if he stays, and now I think he knows too.

    2. The 'Band of Rejects' finding their home.
Josh Smith was considered a cancer in Detroit. We can all see why Pistons fans thought this, with Smoove sometimes making mind-boggingly bad decisions with the ball. Let's be honest here: Josh Smith is the reason we are in the WCF. The same reason he was hated so much in ATL and DET is the exact same reason for our comeback and win in game 6. Though people outside of HOU don't realise he brings much more to the table. He attacked Blake today and even blocked him while getting smacked in the face. He's a man of a player and Morey has a huge decision to make at the end of this summer.

Pablo Prigioni was considered too old to make a contribution to a young team with high playoff aspirations. Not many had faith in him and Jet guarding CP3 for the majority of this series. Prigioni has more than made up for his lack of athleticism with good on ball decisions, hustle plays and occasional 3-ball. I personally hope he sticks around for one more season as insurance.

Dwight Howard having attitude problems was really put in the limelight as a Laker. You could even see it mid-game against Timmy D and the Spurs, and it wasn't pretty. He has the right intentions though and he just wants to win. He's not the scapegoat of this team like he was for the Lakers and his leadership has really brought us to the next level.

    3. Future star players looking for a contending team, look no further.
We all know how Morey likes to treat players as chess pieces or 'assets'. If an up and coming player is available, there's no doubt Morey will be finding ways to develop a trade without compromising what we already have.
Valuable free agent veteran players nearing the end of their careers that still bring something to the table will definitely have Houston on their map this summer. McHale is also a player's coach. It's no surprise that players like Josh and Dwight love playing for him. He's all encouragement and sometimes at the pro level you don't get the recognition you deserve.
If Morey lets a player walk not named Harden or Howard, just have the confidence that he will find a replacement that can fit the team.
