I've never thought the spazz were WORTHY of all of our hatred. We have 2 championships, they have none. They will never win one either. We will win more.

The other 2 parts of the Texas Triangle should be our main rivals. Right now, we're not holding up our end of the rivalry, but hopefully that will change very soon.......

I'll always hate the Jazz. Always.

But as far as good rivalries for the immediate future, I like the other two TX teams. We've been the worst team in TX for long enough. Time to take back some pride.

I think that this year's schedule seals the Rockets and Lakers as rivals. Shaq-Yao is huge, but these teams always play each other tough. Francis and Kobe also have a bit of a rivalry, with each one always looking to destroy the other (and Kobe usually winning). The Christmas game will be massive.

As for the Jazz, I hate them with all my heart and soul. They must be swept this year. Die Jazz Die!

Hate is too strong a word for me but I dislike the Utah Jazz more than any other team and I never want to see them win anything.

The sad thing about a 'rivalry' with the Lakers, or even the Mavericks or Spurs, is that to have a true rivalry, both teams have to consider each other to be rivals.

Right now, it seems like the most logical 'rival' for the Rockets is the Suns, both because of talent level and team makeup. Francis/Marbury and Stoudamire/Yao are great rivalries in and of themselves, not to mention that last season came down to the last possible second to determine who made the playoffs.

It'll really take some more time for something like this to develop, but it's certainly a start.

I don't hate the Jazz anymore, for one. The Suns I hate more, mostly Marbury and Amare the non-deserving-stole-the-ROY-from-the-real-star-YAO-Ming" Stoudemire.

I really like AK-47 as I've stated many many times on this board. But, I also like DeShawn Stevenson. How can you hate someone who basically tackled Ricky Davis after that jackass tried to get a TD on his own goal?! LOL, even if Stevenson becomes NBDL fodder, he'll always be one of my favorite players because of that one moment.

The suppose death of Utah isn't that bad. The one thing they can do is take a contract without compensation. Say Atl wanted to get rid of Ratliff and SAR, Utah could take both of those guys without giving anything up. This is the route Utah will probably take or should take. They should call Memphis and say we'll take Williams and Wright you throw in Swift. This would give them a lineup of Williams,Harpring,AK-47,Swift and Wright or Ostertag. That may not be the linup they've had before, but Swift and AK-47 gives them a young atheletic 3-4 combo and Williams gives them a pg with Harpring as the running mate. They have options, they just have to pull the right strings and might have to take a contract. Everyone knows West wants to clear cap room for next yrs free agency run. It could help both teams.
