    Sane,

    1. if you consider that WORKING then, hey, can you get me a job wherever you work at?

    2. todd-mac is better than cato with or without kidd. granted, kidd makes him 3X better than he normally is, but maccollough's hands alone make him 2X better than cato. todd maccollough actually making the majority of his layups makes him better than cato, also. todd maccollough's hair makes it a close battle, though. ;)

    3. i used stats in that instance to demonstrate that his productivity on the court #s wise have not gone up one iota throughout his stay. i'm usually not a "statman", but i do feel that you can draw some logical conclusions if you take a sample of stats over a lengthy period of time.

getting back on defense??? no. sorry. i don't buy that. i saw cato loaf waaaaay too many times...on offense and defense...to agree with that claim.

playing with intensity??? no. this is the same guy that used to go after every shot (which was overdoing things), but now will just as soon watch a guy shoot a layup without jumping...maybe he'll pat them on the back or forearm as they jump past him to accumulate a completely unnecessary and frustrating "and one".

    4. cato was not joking. the only way you'll believe me is when october rolls around and you see him loafing on the court from being out of shape. don't you find it interesting that no one has even seen or heard of cato actually PLAYING this offseason??? we've heard about everyone else but him

    a) glen rice: in florida playing
    b) steve: recovering from surgery...can't play
    c) cat: in philly and at westside
    d) moochie: at the rucker and, i believe, in philly/dc
    e) kt: in houston getting abused by motay
    f) motay: abusing kt and in la with the summer league team
    g) griff: playing in the summer league (and dominating  )
    h) oscar torres: playing for venezuela
    i) boki: was going to play summer league but had surgery
    j) ming: chinese NT
    k) collier: (ok...cato and collier)

    5) yes. that's exactly what i'm saying. rudy lies. cd lies. the organization lies. they do it to protect their players. want another example?

    1994 nba playoffs.

vernon maxwell breaks his finger in the middle of a game versus the knicks (i believe). has to come out of the game. strangely, no one saw exactly how vernon broke that finger.

truth: that finger got broken the day before playing outside at quail green west in mo city.

think the team would say the truth about that one? no. they lied to protect the player's image and i don't blame them one iota.

as for mumu, no i'm not saying he lied. but you haven't asked him the question i told you to ask him: how long did you see cato working out? and just because you see someone working out twice, doesn't mean they're committed.

i had a fat ex-girlfriend that used to work out once or twice a month. that b**** is still fat today.

Last summer a resturant owner called into Sports 610 AM, he was discussing Cato.

He asked Cato if he liked the idea of playing in the new arena. Cato said, "He didn't care, and they will be playing with or without him."

I posted this to make a point. Cato's attitude SUX!

With that said, I might give him the benefit of the doubt. He seemed to have a Fresh outlook towards the end of last season.
Apparantly, The Franchise recognizes this as well.

Lets wait till December to see if he will make a decent back up. Unless a good offer comes to the forefront.

Actually, the first incident lasted for about 15 minutes. I was coming in and he was almost finished. It did not appear as if he was overexerting himself. The next day I was leaving when he arrived. On that day he stretched and then started his squats. By the time I left he had done 5 or 6 sets of squats.(pyramid-225lbs)

(IMO) At least he has started, he is not waiting for the season to get in shape. That is an improvement. But I am not sold on him. And I guess that is why I am not bias. I am not a fan of Cato but I believe he is trying to improve.
