I agree. My facial hair grows at a fairly speedy rate (I could probably also grow a full beard in about two weeks....never tried it though...). I've also learned that shaving against the grain works a little better and buys a little more time.
You insensitive prick! Some people yearn for 2 week beards! Eh, I dunno. My girl just seems to like the stubble. Beards and mustaches seem to be out of style.
Hot shower before you shave, use shaving cream (I use Gilette Sensitive Skin), cold water to rinse, use aftershave, and then I apply a face lotion because my face dries out. Never had any problems since then. Also, make sure to use a fairly new razor, it helps tremendously.
You know, if you use Total Shaving Solution, you can skip all that crap. Rub 4 drops on while you shower, shave in the shower, put 4 drops on after you shave, done. When I order a bottle, they send some free samples to give to other people. I give them to my friends and they are ALWAYS converted. I've been using it for over a year now and I've never had razor burn, never cut myself, no problems whatsoever. I used to have razor burn for days with cream and aftershave.
I use a trimmer. Its not a clean shave, but its good enough. Saves a LOT of time which is the best part of it.
Your problem might be your razor. What are you using? I tried the Mach3 razors a few times, and my skin is too sensitive for them. I use disposable gilette triple-blade for sensitive skin razors, and I get a great shave out of them.
Will this product work for head shavers? One [obvious] secret I learnt recently about avoiding bumps is shaving your hair (no matter the part of your body it is) in the proper direction. This will help to avoid hair pulling (which is one of the main reasons other than your basic infection) why bumps are formed in the first place. So if the top of your head flows [or combs] forward, shave that area in the same direction. I will likely try the "total shaving solution" but for now what I have used and has works wonderfully in r****ding and eliminating bumps is this product below... P.S. Note that this may not work for all skin types - so consult the manufacturer to see if it will work for you.
