If you want to see foreshadowing at its finest here it is.

    Last off season.

You have Jeremy Lin waking up at the butt crack of dawn, training hard multiple times a day and EATING CLEAN. All this to make his dream come true. He's obviously dedicated to his craft and he worked hard for that one shot and made the most of his opportunity. Sure, there may been a little bit of luck involved in landing in NY and having that opportunity on the biggest stage in the biggest city but the most important thing was "HE WAS READY" because he put in that hard work every day leading up to that chance. How can you hate on a guy like that???

Then you have Felton right after he comes to the Blazers

Sigmund needs to clutch at straws. 50 PGs better than Jeremy Lin. Hue probably includes Johnny Flynn in the list.

No, it includes point guards who play in Europe.

    What a non-story.

Felton is just saying he tries to play with the mentality that he is best point guard in the NBA.

He is saying he tries to think he is better than Paul, Deron Williams, Rondo, Lin, Kidd, Nash, etc...

To be fair, Felton was top fantasy player when he was on the Knicks 2 years ago.

Weird, I understood his comments differently. I clearly understood him saying that he was NOT going to say that they gave him way too much money (like JR or Melo). He didn't come out and say that Lin got paid too much.

Asians fans with no basketball knowledge. No wonder that no asian has done anything relevant in NBA.

If you actually read what he said, this is a nonstory and definitely not thread-worthy. Totally misleading thread title.

He said he's a competitor and of course, if asked, he has to think he's better than other point guards. It wasn't even specific to Lin. As a competitor, he thinks he's better than Rondo when he takes the floor. (As much as that's crazy, I think it's the right attitude, more or less.)

Then he said he wasn't going to be a person to comment on the money. You have to read it in his voice really. "I'm not going to be the guy sayin 'oh that's too much money' or whatever. Go get the money. Good for you." That's basically all he's saying, respecting the unwritten code (unlike Carmelo), so what's the problem exactly?

What a reverse spin dribble with no one within 3 feet + a a great kick the legs out pass to ...

Style points for sure. Results ...

BTW, if I recall correctly, Shawn Kemp got fat in the lockout, and was never the same player again.

Wow, honestly i dont see anything wrong this article.

When I read it I see that he made no mistakes and completed a very politically correct/diplomatic interview.

He said he has to think that he is the best point guard because thats the menatility one needs to have to get better. He also answered a lot of other questions really well such as his weight and his opinions on lin. He says that Lin should not be bashed for getting more money and that he has nothing against him. Also states that his weight was a problem but that it is being magnified for one season (imo, still should be in shape 24/7).

I dont get why this thread has so many people freaking out or com[paring the two with so much passion

Just curious. Why do you come on a Rockets fan website when you are not a fan of the Houston Rockets? What is your intentions? What do you want? Please answer and be honest.

If you're into the "PER", it was his best year in Charlotte.
Lesser minutes and points. But by FAR he shot his career best percentages. Playing in a Larry Brown slow grind-out defensive system. And they had a decent backup in DJ Augustin and decent passers in Boris Diaw and Stephen Jackson sharing the passing load.

He'd be good value as NY's version of Mario Chalmers, the 4th option on a good team. But he'll be called on to score after Carmelo and Amare.

Hey man, not all posts are dumb, but sometimes when posters can't read between the lines and grasp what was been hinted at, unprompted, unnecessarily, then ... Not that I'm specifically implying this to be the case here.

He probably joined up expecting Goran Dragic to be a Rocket and is now mad because he feels Goran got disrespected by the Rockets by not getting a max contract superstar deal offer.

So he's taking out his anger on Jeremy Lin because he can't stand his national hero getting one-upped.

I'm not fan of overrated backup PG. That doesn't mean I don't root for Rockets. I root for teams not players.

I don't even like Dragic. He played for Olimpija(club I hate the most) and he is born in Ljubljana(city I hate the most).
