How awesome would it be if he did end up coming. We could use something good happen to us after this past week. Lawd help us Jesus.
I see him signing here if Bosh is here. He is worth as much as Ariza imo if not more despite his ages.
Funny you say that, because I was fearing that he comes and it's just a repeat of Brent Barry's short meaningless stint here. But yeah, Ed Reed works too.
The only similarity is that they're both older "name" players. If Allen came to the Rockets, it would be for a defined bench shooter role. Also, to my knowledge, he has no known medical conditions. When Reed went to the Texans, it was to replace a valuable full-time starter (Quin) and he did so with a pre-existing hip problem. Apples, meet oranges.
lol. i have some age concerns; he's obviously in decline, but he was productive last year and seems to have caught the Deke/Camby ageless disease. If he can get him for $2 mil i'd be happy about it.
I still say the Rockets have a better chance/better team for the Finals than Cleveland does. I still don't think he comes here, but would make up for all the offseason woes.
Allen is in good shape and can actually play some decent defense when he's fresh. Typical Rockets though. Ray Allen: Hmm, retire or take $2mil from the Rockets? Yeah, I'd rather retire than play with those jabronis. Thanks, bro.
Even if the Rockets are a better team than the Cavs, which I guess you could make an argument for, the Rockets have to go through the West.

I think it's debatable whether we are even the better team. If Wiggins is good day 1 then the Cavs are probably better.
True, but the league is pretty throughout all 30 teams. The top teams are still in the West, but it's not like Cleveland will have a cakewalk in the East either.
I think there are teams in the East that are better than they were last year. I'm intrigued by Washington and Charlotte. But yeah, I think there's a good chance that the Cavs roll right to the ECF.
