Outside of Karl Malone, Bowen is the only player whose career I want to see ended as soon as possible. Some of the stuff like the feet under a player when he shoots are not innocent mind games. They are bullying tatic that said you risk an injury when you try to play to full potential. If I was some one like VC, who Bowen's play had a direct effect at causing some of the injuries, I would pay for some like Oakleys contract, give up one game, and just make sure the entire purpose of the game is to have Bowen crying in pain at end of the game.
Someone should flat out lay Bowen out... This is where I wish Calvin Murphy still played, he would HAMMER Bowen. DD
Ray Allen has always been a baby. Even if Bowen hadn't kicked him, he still would have been crying. If you want to shut up a bully, you either kick his ass, or you just show that you can over come. Crying to an authoratitve figure only makes Ray look even more stupid.
Well, if this were elementary school, you might have a point, but this is the NBA, and "kicking his ass" would not only have gotten Ray Allen a fine and probably a suspension himself, and would only glorify the assumption that the NBA is full of thugs. Now, get off that jungle gym and go sit in the corner...
I agree, Bowen may be a sneaky defender who tries to get away w/ a lot of stuff, but Ray Allen still shouldn't be crying about it. Calling Stu Jackson after the game??? That reminds me of the annoying tattle tale in 3rd grade class who could only go to the teacher when things weren't going this way. All this complaining to the media and officials only gives Bowen that much more of a mental edge the next time they match up.
I dont agree with him hurting people. I dont think he does that on purpose, just to get into their heads. If he does do it with the intention to injure someone, than yeah he should not play. As for the kick, I have not seen it but I heard it was not that bad. Just that Allen and Bowen have had this long time beef going on. More to piss him off than hurt him. There should be more players in this league with better defense. More Artests, but a little less crazy. And as I have always thought, Ray Allen is a b**** and a cry baby. He cried about Kobe last year when Kobe stuffed the **** out of him.
That's just it, you can't determine what his intentions were. But there's no question that his way of playing is dangerous to the players around him! There's no way you can tell me that jumping in the air and karate kicking players in the face, or sticking your foot underneath someone as they're taking a jumper, or kicking a player in the back for no reason are acceptable actions to take on a basketball court. Not only are they unacceptable, it's downright dangerous. I don't see how you can defend his actions.
Bowen is dirty. Karma is a b****. Freak accident is karma's best friend. On a side note...I wonder what the league's reaction would be if he severly injures Lebron james and ends his career with one of his antics.
I totally agree somebody should layout Bowen once and give him some of his own medicine....it's funny how bowen's "reputation" lets him get away with murder while all these ticky tac fouls are called on somebody like yao...just reinforces how horibble nba refs are
I bet if Bowen was on the rockets everybody would be defending him and calling him an aggressive defender. if you notice tmac and Kobe dont seem to have a problem with him. I guess has more of a mental edge over Ray Ray than we all think.
