I need not to check your previous posts I can tell you are a lakers fan thus a Celtics hater. You probably one of those people who think Bynum and Ariza's hard fouls shouldn't be called as flagrant foul!

NEW YORK -- Ray Allen of the Boston Celtics has been suspended one game without pay for elbowing Cleveland Cavaliers forward Anderson Varejao in the groin, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.

The incident occurred with 5:05 remaining in the third quarter of the Celtics 107-76 loss to the Cavaliers at Quicken Loans Arena on Sunday, April 12.

Allen will serve his suspension tonight when the Celtics visit the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pa.

Nice to see him get suspended for it...the only thing that sucks is that it makes no difference what so ever to the celtics. Their seed is set and they were most likely going to rest their starters anyways.

    Laker fan? ME? REALLY? LOLLLLLLLLLL

Just because I think another man taking a cheap shot to someone growing is disgusting doesn't make me a laker fan. I didn't even mention the Lakers anywhere in this thread. I don't hate any team in the NBA (except maybe the Jazz and Mavs and even than I can appreciate some of their players w/o being closed minded...Like Dwill, Millsap, Brewer...or Dirk and Bass)

What I'm trying to say is that I try to be as unbiased as possible when I watch basketball and what Allen did was disgusting and obviously I was right because the league agrees with me.

Am I the only one who saw Varejao swing Allen to the ground?

Stern sure showed with that 1 game suspension that he wasn't going to play a lot of minutes in the game anyway.

well, he also won't get pay for that game, which will cost him $167K, that's pretty a lot comparing with the regular fine for a T.

So the dirty flopper puts some WWE moves into the game and proves he belongs in the WNBA, yet he gets nothing? And above all that, he tries to pull the race card?

That's what the Celtics is now - everyone is super cocky. The league is fine with that, commentators are not bothered with that, fans are cool with that, even Rockets fans. You got Ray Allen elbowed another player, flopper or not, in the groins. No fine, no suspension, not even critical words from TV announcers or fans. Seriously, what if some players from small teams did the exact same thing to Ray Allen? You will see all the righteous "real" sports fans or analysts jumping up and down.

That's what NBA is, all subjective, depending on the players/teams, all rules can be interpreted whatever way you want to.

Edit: one game suspension. I would like to see two, one for the playoff. So next time, Ray will think again when he delivers cheap shot to act tough.

    Is that sarcasm?

What do you think hurts Boston and Ray Allen more?

    1 games worth of paycheck

    Or missing a playoff game/games?

And people I know you hate KG but stop saying he's rubbing off on Ray Allen. KG has never elbowed a man in the balls( that i know of), and Ray Allen is a grown ass man so I doubt he would let another man rub off on him.

And if KG was that big of an influence on Ray he would have rubbed off on him a long time ago when they were AAU teammates.
