i was thinking the exact same thing as him apparently  We both complained about it on the same play, but it kept happening all night
Garnett specifically needs to realize he isn't as strong as he used to be, grab the ball with both hands
He may have left a few short at the end, but he wasn't short overall. He had an issue with his release, maybe coming off the wrong finger because the spin was off or he was off balanced....also, the shots that were short dont necessarily mean he was tired. I think it's more likely he was trying to release the ball higher since he was being contested more, even got blocked. As calculated as his shot is, only changing the arc would cause his shot to fall short.
Ray Allen is the classic case of jump shooters getting defended better with more intense postseason defenses. Along with the jump shooter already having tired legs. John Starks in Rockets/Knicks finals a big example. Everyone knows John Starks isnt a p***y. But when you're off, tired, and have more intense D in your face it could make for a bad bad night.
and to make it even worse he told the lakers fans when they won game 2 that they aren't going back to LA, I guess he is a dummy after all.
Well if you go 0 for anything more than 12 or so, I would think it would be rare that you win, given your knock down shooter is not there for you
not to mention Kobe is THREE years younger than ray allen.....the "old" label gets thrown out there way too loosely nowadays....
What scares me is that even though Boston was not full strength, they weren't getting blown out, and they made it a hell of a close game... Lakers' are really going to need to pull out all the stops to win the finals this year, unlike last year...
