I would sure hope so. Their D is looking very shaky and the offense is inconsistent on a drive-by-drive basis. We get them at our house this time, as opposed to Baltimore where they never lose.
If there's a year to do it, it's this year. Texans get to play them at Reliant. Their defense hasn't been as good as previous years. The revenge factor from last years AFC Divisional game. I'm just surprised this game isn't on MNF, would rather have this game on national tv than the Jets game.
Has anyone else listened to one of those Ray Lewis motivational speeches on Youtube? He is one of the most inspiring players of all time.
Ravens are still a scary good team and Joe Flacco has been playing out of his mind. I'm excited to see what the Texans can do against them.
Wow, had never seen any athlete speak like this. Wonder if he got what it takes to be a coach afterwards. Can certainly inspire.
no terell suggs.. all we need now is ngata to catch diabetes and then beating the ravens would be a breeze.
The Ravens have been giving up a lot of big plays through the first few games. Mostly because of communication breakdowns in the secondary. The pass rush has been inconsistent as well, due to the lack of Suggs in the lineup. That said, the key for the Texans will be stopping Ray Rice. Which means a.) Getting an early lead, forcing them into obvious passing situations. And b.) Being able to shut down the run without a safety in the box - just look at what happened to New England when they had their safety up, leaving Torrey Smith one on one. They will definitely win in that scenario. Much easier said than done, though. By the time this match comes around, their defense may have gelled.
"Will Texans ever beat [the Ravens]? I sure hope they do this year." About as likely as the Texans ever losing to the Dolphins.
One of the most disappointing aspects of this season *thus far* is that our only two scheduled NBC games are against NFC North teams. The Packers are an intriguing match-up, so, OK - but the Bears game has never made any sense to me, especially with Baltimore on our schedule. The Ravens give us a chance to punch a peer in the mouth and kick-start a true conference rivalry. Chicago? Who we won't play again for 4 years?... Plus, as many have argued - we deserved another prime time game at home. The Jets are at the Pats that day - do Nantz/Simms ever work noon games when CBS has a double-header?
My math could be wrong but 2010, I believe, was 2 years ago. Pretty sure this is a slightly better team than that one.
