Alec Baldwin, Jill Hennesey (sp), great script FTW. Set in 1979, Long Island.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'm trying to find more Korean movies to check out. I'll wait on Old Boy though.

Killing Fields - 9/10 i've probably already rated this movie in this thread but i watched it again the other day. it's a tear jerker. very powerful movie.

True Grit - 9/10 love this movie.

Moon - 8/10 my first impression i thought it looked like a boring movie. so glad i gave it a chance. a couple of great WTF moments, but overall above average.

watched righteous kill, well half of it it, last night.

on a 1-5 scale? a 2... it was pretty bad, odd because it had deniro and pacino who i tend to like.

Ask Kam about this movie, Want to know if the portrayal is authentic and real as it did when the Khmer Rouge took control...

    True Grit - 6.9/10

Above average movie, but nothing special. Anticlimactic, lack of story, too much "funny" stuff, overuse of the drunken old man thing. Not to mention I had an tough time figuring out what Rooster was saying most of the time. The little girl was great in her role, probably my favorite character in the movie. Typical Coen brothers overhype killed this movie, not as good as advertised.

    Devil

I would never give my money to an M Night Shamailman, so I watched this bootleg. Quite disappointing even for an MNS movie. There was no attempt of a twist. Not even a sucky twist. The man is losing his (bad) touch.

    27/100 - and that's being generous.

He'd only served as a producer on this but that being said, him touching any part of a film pretty much means I'm staying away regardless...

True Grit - 7/10 ... I though the young girl in the movie was amazing in her role, not a movie worth watching in the theatre though. Also, not nearly enough action as I thought there was going to be.

Black Swan - 6/10 ... Trippy movie. My gf thought it was amazing, but I figured the whole movie out by the first 20 minutes, seemed very obvious what was going to happen...again I would wait till it gets released on DVD. Don't understand all the buzz about Portman's great acting in this movie, role didn't require a big leap.

True Grit- 7/10- I don't think it was better than the first one, because I mean come on, who can top John Wayne? Overall it was a pretty good movie. It made me feel like I was actually in the old west. (if that makes any sense)

Batman: Under the Red Hood: 9.5 / 10 Great story, animation etc. Loved it.

Batman / Superman Appocalypse: 7.5 / 10 Maybe I'd give it better score if I didn't watch it right after Red Hood, which is flawless...

    Toy Story 3: 9.5 / 10 - Great, loved the little girl's character

The Good The Bad and the Wierd - 7.5 /10 - Very stylish Asian Western, if not for the long, dragged out ending, I may have given it a much higher rating.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: 9.5 / 10 - This may be my fav part since 1 and 2. True to the book, and easy to follow.

True Grit - 7 out of 10; the girl is awesome, Jeff Bridges is great, the writing is perfect, and if not for a slightly weak ending I would put this movie along Social Network as the best movies I have seen this year.

Inception - 6 out of 10; perhaps I was too tired that night, as I was a bit let down. And why was Ellen Page in this one?

Whip It - 7 out of 10; now this is a better vehicle for Juno. Lots of fun, Drew Barrymore especially (directs this one too), weakest part was Juliette Lewis.

Prefontaine - 5 out of 10; sure, the acting was a bit weak amongst the supporting actors, and the main character wasn't very likable, but a surprisingly good film.

Book of Eli - 7 out of 10; it along with The Road filled up my post apocalypse movie quota. Denzel did a great job in this action flick. And Mila Kunis. 'nuff said.

True Grit - 8/10 - Good movie, great acting job by the girl, but Jeff Bridges is no John Wayne.
Moon - 8.5/10 - Very original. Kinda drags at times, or would be even better.
