Stoic - Ed Forlong movie. Pretty Intense
    Interesting movie. 7/10
It is very low key and kind of psychological

    Toy Story 3

I don't think there's anything that could be changed to make this a better movie. It was perfect...and quite emotional.

    10/10

The previews...I would change the previews....horrible, horrible movies outside Despicable Me which looks pretty good.

This is a toss up as my favorite Toy Story between number 2. 9/10

My Neighbor Totoro. I was never a Hayao Miyazaki fan because I thought his style was too kiddy for my taste. But I'm starting to watch all his stuff and My Neighbor Totoro is such a sweet and wonderful movie. Totally reminded me of Grave of the Fireflies of the relationship between the siblings. I can see why Guillermo del Toro is such a huge fan of Hayo Miyazaki because you can see some inspiration that came from this movie that he magically turn Pan's Labyrinth into an wonderful movie. 9/10

TiMER (72%) - Just watched this on Netflix streaming based on Netflix's recommendation. Actually turned out to be a decent flick, based on an interesting concept. The idea is that you can pay to have a timer implanted onto your wrist that will count down to the day you are supposed to meet your soul mate, but the catch is that it only starts counting down when your soul mate gets their timer installed as well. As you can imagine, this makes for some interesting situations.

I can't believe you can entertain the thought of Miyazaki being too kiddy if you've watched Grave of the Fireflies. Such a depressing (but good)film I can't imagine watching it again.

    Oldboy (2004)

    8/10

Amazing Korean thriller that explores revenge taken to extreme after a man is locked in a room for 15 years for no reason. Very violent, very sombre ending. Definitely not a date movie.

    [Rec] 2007

    8/10

Ridiculously good horror movie that takes place inside an apartment in Barcelona. I saw this in theaters a couple years back, and a friend insisted on watching it over the weekend. Seeing it again, the in-your-face first POV camera-technique was wonderful (as other movies like Cloverfield and Paranormal Activity had). It's a shame the US did such an inferior remake, Quarantine, but if you haven't seen that then I urge you to only watch this movie. If you like it, there's a sequel called Rec 2 though that isn't on the same level as this.

    Shutter Island - 5/10

I was disappointed. I expected this to be a great movie like The Departed. The editing was HORRIBLE! In one scene, you could see the patient pretending she was drinking water in her right hand but there wasn't nothing in her hand then she put down the water with her LEFT hand. Lot of editing mistakes in this movie. What gives?? I only liked the ending.

    Jennifer's Body - 8/10

Surprising, I liked this movie. I like Amanda Seyfried.

    Tooth Fairy - 7/10

It was a good kids movie. Dwayne Johnson tends to exaggerate his acting but that's what you get being a former wrestler. Plus he is FINE.

Funny People, 6/10 - Interesting seeing Apatow's humor mixed in with Sandler's. Movie was nothing special but pretty good. Had some great lines like Rogan talking about getting gray hair on your balls and having them seem more distinguished because of it. And Leslie Mann is really beautiful. NATURALLY beautiful.

Both excellent flicks across the board. Oldboy's ending is just messed up! Can't wait for the sequel to REC

wolverine xmen whatever- had a lot of potential but execution was horrible. And what's the deal with the crappy CGI? Just a real shame they layed this turd on us. 4/10

He's just not that into you - obviously a give and take with the lady so we watched this...not too bad. Some decent laughs. 6.5/10

Bruno - typical sacha. And by typical i mean uncomfortable scenes involving homoerotic behaviour. But, i was laughing out loud through most of it. If you're not easily offended then you should like it. 8/10.

From Hell - I always found Jack the ripper history interesting. This movie just never got me overtly hooked. . But it isnt bad acting and not a bad presentation of the conspiracy theory surrounding the ripper. 7/10

    The Road

Stayed very faithful to the book. A few things were omitted, some added. But it got the tone perfect. Great performances all around.

Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back

    1000/1000

The Star Wars trilogy is the greatest movie ever. Today was the 30th anniversary of its release. 1000/1000 rating is to note the subtlety in the rating process vs movies that are 10/10 or 100/100.

"The last airbender" 2/10. I'll say this, I'm glad M. Night Shyamalan put his name on all the movies he directs. It makes them easier to avoid.

Let The Right One In. 4.5/5 stars.
I personally love this film, but some of my friends thought it was boring.
In addition, b****ed about having to read subs. Americans, why do so many of us have problems reading? Probably the type of film that should have gotten Twilight attention, for the genre, in regards to quality.
Of course Hollywood already has a remake coming out........like most foreign to American revisions....don't expect much.

    The Fountain (2006)

    8.5/10

A beautiful science fiction film about love and death, and how they relate across space and time. It had gorgeous visuals, a simple story told with a complex delivery, phenomenal score, and an ending that left much to interpretation. Though, it's not accessible for the masses and one definitely should look into the several possible explanations of what it all means when it's finished. Watch on Blu Ray, it's worth it.

    Layer Cake (2004)

    8/10

Awesome British gangster movie (think Snatch minus the comedy) with Daniel Craig, this landed him the role for Casino Royale, about last-minute events throwing a monkey wrench into a cocaine dealer's plans for early retirement. We delve into London's seedy underworld and see all sorts of nefarious people trying to kill each other for control of the drug market.
