The Blind Side was ok, but nothing special. Inglorious Basterds wasn't all that great either. Avatar was good, but also over-rated. Then again, I don't know how you can live up to that hype.
Never seen it. Didn't see District 9 either, which is why I commented on neither. Movies like that tend to be over-rated, at least from an entertainment perspective.
City Island - Good, solid entertainment. Not without its flaws but worth the price of admission. If you like a light-hearted, comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously, check it out. (I know there was a thread about this somewhere)
Daybreakers - 2/10 What an utter waste of 90 minutes of my life. Nothing to see here folks. Its just another 'template' movie filled with generic disposable characters, nonsense plot, generic cloned extras, and ughhh. Oh but at least they tried to be 'edgy' by introducing a sort of a holocaust imagery over a few scenes at random. Just terrible.
Ok so I finally saw se7en and was highly disappointed at the end because everyone was saying that there will be a shocking twist at the end. What was the shocking twist? Still a good movie 7 out of 10.
You must not "get" that kind of a flick. Did you like Pulp Fiction? It's definitely in my top ten of all time. I haven't seen The Blind Side, but agree about Avatar, although I really liked it and saw it again.
Daybreakers - 7/10 good vampire flick Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief - 6.5/10 it was entertaining Smoking Aces 2 - 3/10 it sucked 17 Again - 6.5/10 not bad Unthinkable - 8/10 good movie I love you Beth Cooper - 7/10 - funny teen movie Shutter Island - 6/10 it was ok
Saw Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Atrocious. A comic book movie needs to be either heavy on story or action or (preferably) both. This movie had a bland and r****ded story, little action to compensate, and a laughably bad group of "actors". 1/10. Roman Holiday Bought this cheap at Target because I had not seen it in a while. Still an amazing film after all these years. 9/10.
Cell 2 - Sucked - 3 out of 10 - well . .that maybe harsh because it was a B-Movie ReWatched Blade Runner - Still a Classic 10 out of 10 I saw this movie ROBOT STORIES - it was not typical robot movie but it was interesting none the less. Definately more thought provoking than action oriented. 7.5 out of 10 Rocket River
Spoiler Gwyneth Paltrow's head in a freaking box??? How is that not a shocking twist?? Did you even watch the movie???
Up In the Air - Not much of a Clooney fan, but I thought this movie was pretty well done. I thought it was interesting that the people being interviewed about being fired were actually real people who had just been fired. 7/10 stars. Private Parts - I have never been more surprised to like a movie in my life. I'm not a Howard Stern fan at all (Phil Hendrie >>>> Howard Stern) so I'd always avoided this movie thinking it was just a stupid movie to promote his show, but I really enjoyed it. Pretty cool how he brought the people who were with him in the beginning all the way to the top with him and always stayed loyal to them. 7/10 stars. Rhinestone - Ever watch a movie just to see how incredibly BAD it is? Sylvester Stallone a country singer. WOW. Quite possibly one of the worst scripts in cinematic history - no hyperbole. I literally couldn't stop watching. I felt like I was watching a Stallone movie made before he was discovered, but amazingly, this was made AFTER Rocky I, II, and III. What the hell was he thinking? 10/10 stars.
I guess similar to the folx that thought the SIXTH SENSE wasn't that shocking . . .after waiting 5 yrs to see it. Well yea . . you have heard about how SHOCKING it was . . over time you not shocked by it because u looking for it. I agree It was better than I thought it would be Rocket River been doing the netflicks instant stream movies been watching alot of movies recently
Black Dynamite - B - right up there with I'm gonna git you sucka Daybreakers - C - interesting concept but just turns into a spatterfest a boring one. Legion - D- - damn this movie is laughably bad, some decent actors in there but script and direction is just aweful.
Precious - 6 out of 10 - moved a little slow for my taste. Didn't like the editing on the flashbacks and the cinematography was exaggerated. Also it had too much cursing. The teacher's looks were probably the only relief from the exaggerated cinematography.
