Zack and Miri Make a Porno 6/10 Just above average. That guy who played Delaney is pretty funny, it's a shame he isn't in more films.
Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Theif It was actually better than I expected some kewl CGI and decent plot. [Though it was kind of transparent and I figured it out half way through] I give it a solid 6.5/10 [slightly above average] Think Harry Potterish Rocket River
Shutter Island 6/10. I don't know if I was just expecting too much out of this movie, but i was disappointed. Wait for it to come out on DVD or BluRay or whatever people watch it on these days.
Same here. Kevin Smith needs to recapture that magic that made his earlier movies so good. Jason Mewes was hilarious....Dutch Rudder.
Shutter Island: 8/10 Amazing twist but scenes are too confusing when they are mixed in with dreams, real life, etc. And it's too easy to ruin for someone in just one sentence
the crazies - 7/10, but olyphant automatically adds ~3.5 points to anything he's in, making go 12/10.
For comic book people Justice League Crisis on 2 Earths - B A little short and they kind of spend too much time turing it into a slugfest but still very strong esp. for fans of the animated Justice League series from Bruce Timm. There's also a seperate short for The Spectre which is very impressive, done as film noir.
Halo: Legends 8 Episodes intended to expand the Halo universe, in the same vein as The Animatrix or Batman: Gotham Knight. Origins I and II: Excellent broad retelling of the history of the Halo universe. 8/10 Homecoming: A touching story that explores the emotional trauma the children of the Spartan program must have faced. Doesn't really seem to mesh all together well with canon, but then it doesn't quite contradict it either. 7/10 Prototype: A little similar to Homecoming in it's style. Doesn't follow any Spartans, just regular soldiers. 7/10 Duel: Loved the animation style in this, and I liked that it explored a side of the Elites you've never really seen from the games. 8/10 Odd One Out: I'm sure many would consider this the weakest of the bunch and a failure, and I did too on first viewing. But watching it a second time I started to truly appreciate it. It's definitely a standalone episode. A bit of a parody of the Dragonball Z's, Thundercats, Vultron, Transformers of the world. And while I thought it didn't fit at all within the world of Halo, it is actually a nice change of pace to the other heavy-handed episodes. And there is a bit of gravity toward the end. 6/10 Babysitter: Probably my favorite of the bunch. This episode focuses on the rivalry between the ODSts and the Spartans. And it's the best representation of the Spartans of all the episodes; in fact I think it's the only decent representation. 8/10 The Package: Horrible. It's all action and no story. That might not be a bad thing, if the action wasn't awkward at times, if the dialogue didn't suck and feel disengaged, if the cg wasn't archaic and if didn't spit all over canon. I tried watching a second time and it was just as bad. A few decent shots here and there doesn't save it. And the voice acting for Master Chief was very, very bad. How could they have not gotten the original voice actor for this? Same goes for Cortana. 3/10 All together, it's a pretty decent companion to the Halo Universe...if you're not a fan don't even bother, but if you are it's worth a look. 7/10
Skeleton Key: 6.5/10 Spoiler Not bad, but starts a little cheezy. Acting is questionable in some parts, but good in others. It seems to get better as it goes though, and never goes too far over the top but doesn't just sit there either. Somewhat creepy to an extent, but more of a mysterious drama than horror or thriller I guess. Murder in the First: 7.5/10 Spoiler about 6° off of a great movie, but just a little too boring at times. Christian Slater often ruins a (insert any movie or show here) for me, but not always, and he is suited to his part in this. Interesting movie, but finishes a little on the weak side, and the moment of triumph is a bit of a let down, though it does the story justice. Drag Me To Hell: 4.5/10 Spoiler Disappointment. While it started pretty good, and didn't go to far until about a third of the way through, they opted evidently to go cheesy on this one. I had no idea, the trailers looked better, but I was rightfully wary. By the time I got near the end I was laughing at how bad it was. I will admit it finished alright though, so all was not completely lost. Still, bad movie.
i guess i expected more of hurt locker.. although it was still a good movie, i expected something a bit more of a documetary type of movie that really let you know what it was it like to be there. i still recommend it though.
r****ded bad acting horrible script I cant believe these people made this r****ded or r****ded potty penis jokes r****ded
Its one of those movies that is so stupid you're afraid to admit you laughed so much. Rob Corddry was funny. The story is so, so, so stupid and poorly written, but some of the gags were downright hilarious. One of the most vulgar movies I've seen in a while.
