It gets funnier each time I watch it. Went from strange but okay to fantastic for me...(it's on cable all the time now)

Inglorious Basterds-9/10

 

Red Cliff - 9/10 Kind of like the Chinese LOTR

 

Jumper - 6/10

 

sherlock holmes. 9/10.

 

Spent the whole movie building this relationship between two people and then nothing...

There was no resolution, one way or the other.

Very disappointing

 

Think that was kind of point, showing that his general detachment didn't offer any happy ending.

 

The Gamers: Dorkness Rising

A random movie I watched on netflix instant watch. This was an absolutely terrible film. A dorky D&D version of Clerks? Low budget, bad acting, A+ job. I couldn't stop laughing. I had to wipe the tears from my eyes on several occasions. I wanted a sequel. As a warning, this film is loaded with 'cardshop' in-house humor.

saw it long ago and have been wanting to watch it again so i got the blu-ray from netflix. AWESOME as i remembered and totally topical.

I agree, I had to turn it off because I could no longer stand the annoying as **** characters in the movie

 

Since becoming a fan of Chris Nolan I finally check out Memento. Wow. Fantastic movie! 9/10!

 

Up In the Air - 9.5/10

My second favorite movie from 2009. If I saw the movie not knowing anything about it, I would have guessed that it was directed by Alexander Payne, who is my current favorite filmmaker. Very similar in its tone to About Schmidt and Sideways. Jason Reitman is definitely becoming one of my favorites. Also loved all the performances. Both actresses did a good job.

 

Paranormal Activity - 3/10 extremely repetitive and quite predictable....This might 've been a better watch at the theater but on blu ray it was very blah imo

 

Up has a kid, talking dog and a crazy bird in it , but ...

The story is about how an old man transitions his life, after his wife dies. The kid in the story helps him make the transition.

 

Ditto, I really enjoyed this movie a lot more than I thought I would even after reading all the great reviews.

 

Agree with this. Vera Farmiga is great. She had just given birth right before this movie and had her newborn with her traveling for this movie and she still kicked butt. She was so damn sexy in the departed mmmmmmmm.
