The Departed: 9.5/10 -Excellent cast, acting was exceptional -Clever storyline, good twists -Decent action Must See!
Infernal Affairs was better, IMO. The Hangover It was pretty good, but I think I probably would have enjoyed it in the theater more. Didn't really laugh as much as I though I would. 6/10
I'm hungover as fawk, so I chilled on the couch all day and finally watched Grand Turino. Holy crap. What a great flick. Why did I wait so long to watch this???
Das weiße Band - 10/10 Revanche - 7/10 A Serious Man - 3/10 <<< somebody needs to inform the Cohen brothers that they aren't funny, at all.
Shades of Ray (available on Netflix stream) -- 8/10 -- The ending/conclusion is not very convincing but otherwise pretty good movie.
to each his own, but it was too oblique for me. I just don't get this kind of extremely dry humor. Perhaps if I was more familiar with Judaism, it wouldn't have appeared as smug. I'll watch any Cohen brothers movie that doesn't have "comedy" in the description, IMO it's just not their forte.
Just watched Zombieland a couple days ago. Very funny with lots of blood and zombies. How can you possibly go wrong with that combo? 8/10
Big Lebowski - absolutely not. I sat through that train wreck with a big fat wtf? on my face. I even tried watching it again to see if there was something I missed and turned it off after 15 minutes or so. Again, this type of "comedy" is completely over my head. Raising Arizona - it's been a really, really long time since I've seen it. I honestly can't remember if it's good or not. Fargo - haven't seen it.
Wow. really? I've never heard of anyone not liking Big Lebowski... anyway...im about finished downloading "The Road." Been anticipating this one for a while!
