Unless you're a J.Alba fan I would not recommend Trigger Warning. Predictable story/plot, poor acting, low budget, and bad special effects. I would give it a 4 out of 10.

Go watch Enemy of the state with Will Smith. My son has never seen it and says its the best movie he's watched in a while.

Watched "Abigail" last night. That's a very fun movie. Not scary, pretty darkly funny at times, definitely bloody but most of that is of the ridiculous variety (a la Kill Bill), though there were a couple of moments when I kinda looked away for a sec and said "yeah I don't need to see that". The gf laughed at me.

Child actors are VERY hit and miss but the girl was really excellent, like shockingly excellent. I read afterwards that she learned ballet for the part and did her own stunts.

Was that one dark-haired girl (one of the thieves) the one that was in the last "Scream" film that was getting all that flack for her political commentary on accusing Israel of the 'g'-word-spot?

I thought the movie was a unique take in a very saturated genre. It was fun!

Deadpool and Wolverine, 9/10, entertaining ride that honors previous movies in the X-Men franchise while seamlessly blending into the MCU without any of the political agenda of Marvel movies since Endgame, just pure fun with lots of fan pleasing cameos.

If you like Tom Hardy, check out Bikeriders. Talk about channeling you inner Marlon Brando. And the younger main actor seems to be playing a James Dean type rebel role.

Don’t expect Sons of Anarchy type action, but still a cool performance by Hardy.

Kingdom of the planet of the apes. It was alright, I was entertained, basically more of the same. If you enjoyed the others, you will enjoy this one.

I watched this on Amazon Prime. I'd highly recommend this one. It's a tearjerker drama for sure. The acting was great. I don't want to spoil the plot with details. Best to watch it not knowing what happens.

Trap 4/10 with the potential of being a cult classic 12 years from now.

The real trap is that the entire film is a set up by M. Night to showcase the most arrogant, unapologetic, heedless and blatant form of nepotism since the Lakers drafted Bronnie. It takes away from Josh Hartnett giving one of his best performances, surpassing
    "O", the shakespeare/ b-ball mash up.
But like Scarface and Jennifer's Body, both trashed and laughed at for a couple of years, I can see this one becoming popular amongst reviewers in the future.

I get screeners for smaller straight to PVOD movies, ignore most but this one caught my eye.

Its cliched and predictable but strangely entertaining, Megan Fox isn't a great actress but she does a solid job as the android here....C

Mad max furiosa 8.8/10. Only watched half but it's so damn good. I had to turn it off because it was late at night but I will resume tonight.

watched the Fall Guy, surprised I enjoyed it. Not classic cinema by any means, but a great couple-of-hours-to-burn kind of streaming movie. I'd probably go 8/10.

Then watched Tetris. This one actually worked pretty well as a movie, even if a lot of it was fictionalized Hollywood-style. Also an 8/10 I think.

    Blink Twice

What the ****?! I've had a crush on Zoë Kravitz for a long time, so I was excited to get a glimpse into her creative mind. Unfortunately, I’m not impressed. The movie starts with so much promise, but once you figure out what's really happening, you'll be searching for the nearest exit. Sadly, I watched this at home, so no such luck—and of course, I stuck around to see how it ended. Big mistake.

They chose James Brown’s “The Boss” for the final scene and credits, which was unsettling given what had just unfolded. To be fair, Channing Tatum, Christian Slater, and Haley Joel Osment offered intriguing performances, but by the end, Channing’s character was dull and one-dimensional. He put in effort for the first two acts, though, I’ll give him that.

I can't decide if I genuinely dislike this movie or just hate the premise. The female leads were solid—Naomi Ackie shone despite some awkward camera work and a light script. Alia Shawkat was perfectly cast and was a great plot vehicle. The two beautiful throw-ins Liz Caribel and Trew Mullen kept the film visually appealing and Caribel's character gets it in when its time to seek vengeance.

I appreciated how little clues, like the snake bite, the knife behind the mirror and the chickens gradually unveiled the truth. The perfume/venom/vape solution confused me but maybe it's like venom and anti-venom? Yeah it didn't make sense.

However, my biggest gripe? The old Mexican lady. She knows what’s happening the entire time yet does nothing to help the women. Her shouting “red rabbit” hardly counts. She should’ve been there with the rest of them, receiving some kind of justice. In my opinion, the ending needed more recompense, but oh well—c’est la vie.

I'm torn about this movie, to say the least.

    3/10

    Kinds of Kindness

A complete waste of time from beginning to end.

    1/10

The one is solely based on the second act.
