I'm a huge fan of the 1st film, but I hated the second one and refused to watch the third because I felt they totally screwed with the story the 1st told. Unless the trailer painted a different picture than the movie.
Knowing -666 out of 10. Laughed out loud. Only, it isn't a comedy. Starts off intriguing, but every plot point is rendered pointless by the successive plot point. TerriBAD directing, editing, writing and acting. Nicholas Cage needs to channel his inner Las Vegas or Arizona, and stop making dumb flicks.
Why'd you hate the 2nd one? I actually enjoyed the 3rd one and it stays true to what they established in the first one. Actually fits wel if you watch the 3rd followed by the 3rd.
500 days of summer - funny, relatable, solid soundtrack (multiple black lips songs), great date move (took the new girl and she liked it a lot). 7.5/10 edit: zoey daschle is in it, rating revised: 8.5/10
Zooey Deschanel - she is a cutie - I felt the same way, then I saw her on Top Chef Masters and found out she didnt eat meat or dairy or gluten foods. I tend to agree with Anthony Bourdain when he says "Vegetarians are the enemy of everything good and decent in the human spirit, and an affront to all I stand for, the pure enjoyment of food." In short, SWTsig, if you offer her some of your meat, her instinct is to say no.
The Year My Parents Went on Vacation - 7/10...it was okay, i wasn't into this too much. Rudo y Cursi - 9/10...i really liked this movie...it was endearing. i love diego luna! gael garcia bernal looked like a dork in this movie but he was great. Adventureland - 8/10...this was a good one. the ball sacking was awesome...
Coraline -8/10 was pretty dark but pretty cool the ending kind of was a bit quick and wrapped up a bit too easily I thought but I was impressed by the look of the movie
Adventureland - 9/10 Loved everything about it. I think I'm developing a creepy obsession with Kristin Stewart.
Spoiler After the end of the first movie, I was expecting an all out war between the Lycans and Vampires, with Selene and Michael caught in the middle. I was expecting Marcus to unleash hell. Yet the sequel I felt portrayed the Lycans as even more inferior and servants to the Vampires. In fact there was only a handful of Lycans throughout the film, Michael was injured through most of it, Marcus was more annoying than intimidating, and there wasn't much war at all. The 3rd, from the trailers at least, seem to suggest that Lucian rallies the Lycans to rise against the Vampires and Viktor, eventually falling in love with Viktor's daughter, Sonja, who betrays the Vampires to fight for the Lycans. Yet, in the first film, it's explained that Lucian was a faithful servant to the Vampires, only to rebel against them after falling in love with Sonja and having to witness her execution at the hands of Viktor. It might seem like a minor detail, but the way Rise of the Lycans is presented seems to feel like any other generic "war against an evil empire" type movie. And really, the way the story is explained in the first movie makes more sense as to why Lucian is so pissed with the Vampires and why he wants to fuse the bloodlines.
Saw extract last night and enjoyed it. Milan Kunis looked hotin it of course and some good laughs. I would give it a 7.5/10
Taking Woodstock- 8/10 A different perspective on the historic festival.. Not about the music but about the town and the people who put this show all together.. Demetri Martin is pretty good in it...
