    Seven on blu-ray: 10/10

Hi-def really enhanced the experienced and eerie of this masterful of a film...

Man, I've watched so many movies (mostly a few years old) in the last two to three weeks, really caught up with everything I've pretty much wanted to see for some time now.

Inside Man - Nothing that hasn't been seen before but a solid action flick. Denzel is awesome as always. 7/10

Malcolm X - I thought it was kind of dragged out. Watched it because of Denzel but not knowing anything about Malcolm X prior to watching this movie I find it hard to rate. Just a bad choice on my part. Anyway, 6.5/10

The Uninvited - A very solid remake of A Tale of Two Sisters. Liked it better than the original. Emily Browning is nice. 7/10

Disaster Movie - Disaster. My sister was watching it and I thought I'd see just how played out it is. Just a waste of time. 1/10

Man On Fire - If there was a 10% chance my kid would be as cool as Fanning's character in this movie, I'd actually consider having one in the future. That aside, I dislike kids and I liked this movie. 7.5/10

Remember The Titans - Really liked this one. Felt for the characters. 8/10

The Great Debaters - This one bored me. 5/10

The Hurricane - Ugh... When I finished watching it I thought to myself: "This is one of the best movies I've ever seen!". Denzel's performance is top notch, the plot is great, I really felt for Carter... How disappointed I was to find out that in all likelihood Carter is actually guilty and the whole movie is big fat lie. If it was closer to the truth, I'd give it 9/10.

Gran Torino - Clint Eastwood is awesome in this. As strange as it may sound from a 21-year-old, I could almost relate to his character because I can see myself turning out to be the same way as he is. The only thing that brings this movie down is the performance of the guy who plays Thao (Toad). It was the first time when I watched a movie and thought to myself: "Wow, this guy really can't act." First time. 8/10

Forever Strong - I didn't like this one as much as Remember The Titans because the lead guy's transformation from a complete douchebag to a choir boy was just too absurd. But I still liked it a lot. 7.5/10

Juno - Surprised me. I was expecting Juno to be different. But that would suck. 7/10

The Dark Knight - It's good but I don't see what the big deal is about. Maybe it's because I don't like Batman. 7.5/10

    Slumdog Millionaire - 7/10

Pirates Of The Carribean... - Both sequels are inferior to the original especially the last one. I'll say 6 and 5 out of ten respectively.

American History X - Absolutely loved this one. I don't even know what to say. Edward Norton is brilliant in this. 8.5/10

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind - Decent idea but kind of boring. 7/10

    Good Will Hunting - 7/10

Iron Man - How the hell did he make that suit of armor out of scraps? Was that really in the comics? Anyway, it was ok. 6.5/10

    Million Dollar Baby - 7/10

Dead Snow - Starts out as a serious horror film at which point it's completely forgettable. Then, about halfway in, it turns in to a hilarious comedy/parody. Good thing I didn't turn it off. 6.5/10

The Machinist - I liked it. The twist at the end was predictable because it's been done before but it was very good nonetheless. 7.5/10

Requiem For A Dream - Awesome movie. Superb job by Ellen Burstyn. 8.5/10

The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button - Great job by the make up artists! Seriously, the idea is interesting but the movie is just way too boring and drags on forever. 5/10

Yes Man - It was ok. Was expecting better. 6/10

Marley & Me - Although I love dogs, I wasn't really in to this one. It's pretty pointless anyway - there is no plot. 5.5/10

I'm sure there's more but that's all I can remember right now.

Moon: I love a good sci-fi, and so I really enjoyed this. Not quite as great as I thought it'd be though (I was expecting instant classic from the reviews). Still, it had some tense moments, and some that were quite touching. The twist I think could have been handled in a less obvious way and it might have made the ultimate revelation more impactful. And there were a couple of cuts toward the beginning that were somewhat abrupt. Probably my only complaints though. That and the fact that the station apparently had normal earth gravity. Seemed like the film was trying to be set in the not too distant future, using technology that could very well be realized by man in the coming century. So I think it would have been cool to show how the station compensated for the Moon's gravitational force...instead of just assuming the station had some gravity drive.

    Minor complaints though.

I didn't like it as much as Sunshine, which came out last year I believe, but still good nonetheless.

    Orphan - 7.1/10

One of the better horror movies of the past few years, probably since 28 Months later. Very enjoyable.

I love you man - 6/10 -- It was pretty funny.. but I thought the story would be something a little more complex than what anyone would expect.... it was pretty much a simple story..

I watched this last night and it was fantastic! I have a new respect for Colin Farrell, and Ralph Fiennes always delivers. Great movie.

Saw Valkyrie the other week. Seems like it stays pretty faithful to the actual events, more or less. But I can't help but think that Tom Cruise just didn't fit into the movie well. I like Tom Cruise, as an actor. But he didn't work for me in this film.

    6/10

And then I just finished Paul Blart: Mall Cop. Wow that was pretty horrible. It was stupid even by stupid comedy standards. There may have been a few chuckes, but that doesn't excuse the utterly terrible story. Nothing against Kevin James, but this would have been a tailor made role for Chris Farley.

for me, the dumbest part was how all the robbers were either bmxers, skateboarders, or some sort of extreme jumper. They thought they were bad asses or something. Just so dumb

Yeah that was just weird. So many dumb things. Like the swat captain who was police chief and hostage negotiator rolled into one.

I enjoyed it. Sounds weird but there wasn't as much blue dong as I expected. Just because I kept hearing how much of it there was.

    Tales of Despereaux - 6/10
Was expecting more of it. Just not as entertaining and for some reason the voice overs didn't do it for me.

Saw it for the first time tonight on Showtime I believe and I must admit, I was very impressed as I did not think I would like the movie at all.

Transformers 2: The Revenge of the Fallen I'm a huge Transformers fan but I would recommend that if you enjoyed the first one, unless you can't get enough of Megan Fox, sign up for a trial period of Netflix, then rent it for free.
    5/10

The Hangover A quintessential Vegas flick. Finally a movie that lives up to the promo What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Tyson has the funniest part in the film.
    8.5/10

Twilight Or, as I would like to call it, Being My Girlfriend's b**** for an Hour and a Half. The vampires look like a family of blood sucking pantomimes. One of the dudes reminds me of a r****ded Edward Scissor Hand's in designer clothes.
5.5./10 for dudes who's name isn't Rod Benson

Let the Right One In A very different, brilliant take on the vampire lore. Can't believe they pulled it off transgressing some very taboo subjects.
    9.0/10

Star Trek (2009) I was apprehensive about the direction of the movie before the release, and I couldn't be happier about how wrong I was to worry. Thoroughly entertaining. My girlfriend, who can't stand Star Trek, was glued to her seat (No, I didn't super glue her seat). This is the Batman Begins of the Star Trek franchise.

Probably the best movie I saw of last year... I was going to buy the bluray but read about how they screwed up and changed the subtitles on it...

I thought the Tyson part was the worst part. By worst I mean least funny, but it was still bearable as the whole movie is actually pretty good.

    Finally caught Watchmen, I'll give it a 6.5, a bit long-winded.

After reading the book this week, I FINALLY sat down and watched Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange.

9/10. Loved it. But of course liked the book just a little more.
