Look, I said I was venting! I was mad that I wasted two hours of my life on that thing, and I had to just get it OUT of my system!
The Throwaways - 6/10 - A Crackle original for all the streamers out there. Good cast featuring Jeremy Renner, James Caan, and Johnny Drama. I came in with low expectations but it was better than expected.
Spongebob out of water. I waited too long for them to become aesthetics gods but well worth the wait. Squid busted the god pose. only think I didnt like was plankton was missing traps. That dolphin was all illuminati. Sacrifice and triangles.
It is when you have a wife who hates 50 Shades and likes action movies! And it had a little romance in the end
Searching for Sugarman - 9/10 - Was like a majority of people who said "Sixto who?" Eventually time will catch up with you in a good way. Boyhood - 7/10 - I really wanted to like this movie. Not great, but some solid performances from Arquette and Hawke. Whiplash - 9/10 - Solid movie. Good performances all around. I was really taken by the ending, replayed it over and over and over again.
Fury - 9/10. Intense. I had a hard time understanding some of the dialogue though through the mumbled accents. John Wick - 8.5/10. Fun action flick.
Horrible Bosses 2 - 7/10 Gave it a high rating just because I like Jason Bateman. But the movie really underachieved compared to the first, despite the star cast. They way they dumbed down the characters, especially that annoying Dale dude, is too much. The movie had its moments, but realistically I would have given it a 5.
havent been to a theater in a while (last film I saw was Top Five which was great) but I went and saw Kingsman this weekend 8/10 It had a great deal of over the top violence, an interesting enough story and some great performances from Firth and Jackson. There was plenty of humor to keep it somehow light despite all the violence. It didnt seem like it was a 2 hour film. The only slight drawback is some of the crazy english accents are at times hard to understand but luckily its usually from minor characters and their lines aren't that important to the film.
American Sniper: Good, not as good as everyone has made it out to be. Slightly disappointed but overall a good movie. Kingsman: REALLY fun movie. Over the top in a lot of ways, but it was done intentionally and with good touch.
Whiplash is an excellent film! Simmons is pretty much a shoe in, happy for him, always been a favorite of mine.
