To the people reviewing Taken, did you really expect it to be believable? None of the films in the same mold as this one are totally believable such as Man on Fire] or Commando. I would venture to say most films are pretty unbelievable.

Taken was pretty illogical but it was good turn your brain off fun, plus it's short so it just kind of flies by. Not all movies need to be logical or realistic to be enjoyable.

exactly, people who over analyze the movie to be "realistic" really needs to relax and just enjoy the movie and take it for it is...

To be fair, Man on Fire was MUCH more logical/believable. In Man on Fire he avoided situations where he was taking on large groups of men armed with automatic weapons shooting at him point blank. He also failed in the movie at one point, and ultimately died.

It wasn't that much more believable. He was shot multiple times but was able to go fight the bad guys, gets shot again and keeps on going. Come on. Where did he fail? At the end of the film he agrees to the deal to give his life for the girl's. If anything that was redemption, not failure.

    Terminator 4: 4/10

I'm being generous with that rating. Decent special effects and action scenes, but the storyline was turrible, just turrible.

    Star Trek: 10/10

Just a well done movie overall. I really enjoyed it and like the people are saying in the thread on the movie, I was never much of a fan either. On a slightly unrelated note, whenever I look at John Cho all I can think of is Harold and Kumar no matter what role he's playing.

Changeling - Wow this was really good. Jolie was fantastic. I'm shocked how much this movie moved me. 4.5 outta 5.

Man on Fire is one of my favorite moves
    [like a modern day Deathwish]

I think that alot of these movies rely on the
IF EVERYTHING FALLS INTO PLACE PROPERLY . . .then this could happen
    i.e. Die Hard

weird I saw this last night and I enjoyed it quite a bit I also liked the book but maybe thats just me I think most people are either for this movie or against it from the reviews I've read there really isnt any inbetween

    I would give it a solid 7.5/10

Saw Dai-Nipponjin aka Big Man Japan also earlier in the week

pretty good homage to the old japanese monster flicks if you are into those type of movies.

    7/10
