    Star Trek 2.
I give it a 7 of 10. Fun movie, but nothing special.

    Confucious - 8.5/10

Damn, Confucious was a friggin baller. How come all the great people in history had to suffer? Chow Yun Fat played the role very well. Also that last 30 mins was a tear fest.

Nah, I had to torrent it. It's 2 hours of constant subtitles and at times you'd have to stop and go back because it went by too fast. There's a couple of short battle scenes, but nothing worthy of it being called an action sequence. It's just quickly shown to show that it happened, then moved on the the next conversation.

Besides, it's a movie about the king of quotes! I was expecting some guy to crack open fortune cookies for 2 hours and reading out Confucious sayings.

    Way to ruin the surprise!

Star Trek into Darkness - 8/10

Really enjoyed this movie. Great action and special effects, and the villain was a badass to say the least. Not quite as good as the first one IMO, but still a very good science fiction film.

    Gonna mention two movies.

Paid to see "The Great Gatsby" because my wife liked the director's past work ("Moulin Rouge", "Romeo and Juliet" with DiCaprio and Danes).

"The Great Gatsby": D. "D" for "dog d**ks".

We actually walked out of this. I told her, Hell with it, "Hangover III" starts now.

    And so:

"Hangover III": B. Probably not an actual "B", but it was funny to see my wife enjoy it more than I thought she would thanks to Alan and Chow.

Mama - 6 out of 10. Some sorta scary moments but as soon as they fully show the scary part, well, not very scary after that and the movie quickly loses points. Best part of the movie... Jessica Chastain (from Zero Dark Thirty). After seeing her in two movies she now joins Naomi Watts and Charlize Thieron on my list of "I can watch anything they do". While she is nowhere near as beautiful as either of them, there is a "NewRoxfan... come tear my clothes off" about her.

Shaun Of The Dead is making the rounds on the movie channels. Caught that recently for the first time and absolutely loved it.

Thanks... I forgot how many attractive actresses were in The Help... Emma Stone, Ahna O'Reilley, and Anna Camp along with Chastain. Worth a re-watch. Um, yes, to show my "sensitive" side.

    Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Brutal, dark, suspenseful. Almost 3 hours long but I never got bored.
    8/10

    Woman in Black

Seemed more like a classic horror film. Didn't rely on excessive gore, shocking scenes or plot twists, but there were still plenty of chills. The ending could have been a bit better though.

This is the End - 8.5/10

So goofy...but so funny. One of the better comedies of recent memory.

One of my all time favorites. That movie will forever give Edgar Wright a pass on any movie he makes no matter how bad.. (on a side note: Scott Pilgrim vs the World is another one of my all time favorites.. Edgar Wright is the comedy version of Guy Richie imo)
