I was also disappointed. I'd rank TDKR below both Batman Begins (which I like more than most) and TDK.
Yeah that mask ruined it for me too. Then the newest bourne is the lowest rated of those so far, yet I liked it just as much as the first three. Rottentomatoes has kind of been letting me down lately, speaking of hunger games. Sound of My Voice is one of the best ones I've seen lately. Really interesting, highly recommended.
Les Miserables - 8.5/10 Won't be for everybody because of just about 99% of the lines being sung, but I really enjoyed it, and I thought it did the musical justice. If you can appreciate a good musical, can't go wrong with this one.
Love and Other Drugs 7/10 Rom Com Drama with Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal set in the late 90's Pros: -A LOT of naked Anne Hathaway -Handful of creative LOL lines and moments -naked Anne Hathaway -interesting characters -sometimes emotionally involving -other naked hot chicks -naked Anne Hathaway Cons: -predictable at times -hard to believe at times -some setup gags fall flat
There was a segment on 60 minutes about how Bradley Cooper was really good in the movie. And Jennifer Lawrence is hot, so I'll give this movie a shot.
Killing Them Softly 3/10 Snooze fest. Event slept thru the violet scenes. Probably Pitt's worst movie. Hot Fuzz 2/10 Watched 5 mins of it and turned it off. **** was stupid. Couldn't even watch it baked.
On the other hand, "Perks of Being a Wallfower" probably the most underrated film of 2012. 9/10 This movie was extremely spot on very well written and needed in this time. All the movies the have out now about teens and high schools are centered around sex but lack the dynamic of real issues that teens face and how isolated some kids feel. I absolutely loved this film.
The Hobbit -- 8 out of 10. Went into it expecting to like it less than I did. I let critics judgements of the show influence me somewhat so when I finished watching it, I was pleasantly surprised. Smaug was very cool looking. Looking forward to the next 2 installments.
Yes. Definitely the most unique movie you will ever watch. I don't want to describe it any other way cause it would spoil it but just trust me on this one. I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10.
Watch it. I personally think it's really overrated, but it's still a very quality movie. The way it's filmed, with the beginning of the story and the ending of the story meeting in the middle (you'll understand what I'm talking about), I think it at least adds a really unique factor to it. It's not crazy good, but it's very enjoyable. 7.5-8/10
I keep remembering movies I've seen lately, sorry. Lincoln: 9.5/10 background of the This is a really good movie if you understand the historical background. If not, you might find it extremely boring. The story refers to Lincoln's difficulty in ratifying the 13th Amendment. The actors/actresses play their roles brilliantly. Taken 2: 8/10 This is one of those cult movies where people like me enjoy seeing Liam Neeson seek violent revenge. I personally prefer the first Taken movie
Saw your rating for Killing Them Softly and thought: "Damn.. I was looking forward to seeing it, hoping it would turn out good" Then read your rating for Hot Fuzz and thought: "Alright.. I'm watching Killing Them Softly. He obviously doesn't know what he's talking about."
Watch "Searching for Sugar Man." It's a documentary about an unknown musician from the 1970s. Don't read too much about it, just watch it. It has: 8.0 on IMDB, 79/100 on Metacritic, and a 95% fresh on rotten tomatoes. I give it a 9/10. It's a really awesome documentary.
Where did you see this film? I've been wanting to see it for quite some time. It's not in theatre anymore where I'm at and last time I searched online I couldn't find it.
