What? 6? <object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Guwvwp0uSU8?version=3"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Guwvwp0uSU8?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="390"></object>
it's the type of movie that some people rate a 6 the first time they see it. Then a 7 the second...8 the third and slowly becomes gold. Mer-MAN!!!
Will there ever be another movie as perfect as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? Why don't the guys who made that movie make another movie together? I know New York Synechdoche wasn't the same crew right? Cause that movie sucked bad.
Rise of The Planet of The Apes 8/10. My expectation was pretty low for this movie but walk out totally surprised. Great job by the whole casts especially Andy Serkis as Caesar. Totally didn't like the whole bridge sequences. Another problem I have with the movie was how effectively that genetically engineered retrovirus kick in after exposing it to chimps/apes. But overall a good movie and they did a good job making you feel sympathy towards Caesar. This movie just remind me of the graphic series Y:The Last Man. I truly hope that they should cancelled the movie version and let HBO turn it into a tv series.
Charlie Kaufman wrote screenplays for both movies. He also wrote Being John Malkovich, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, and Adaptation, all of which are great movies. Adaptation is as good as Eternal Sunshine in my eyes.
[REC]2 - Solid follow up to the original - B+ Super - Good idea and decent cast but just misses the mark all around, stick with Kick Ass - D The Ward - Like some sort of women in cages throwback but all pretty standard, Amber Heard is really easy on the eye but obvious John Carpenter has given up a long time ago, still a lot better than Sucker Punch - C
Zombieland - 6/10 Decent mindless zombie flick. Really doesn't have much of a story except a linear story line of a group of peeps going out and killing zombies. Shadows and Lies - 1/10 A fantastic flick for one of those nights where you can't get to sleep. Pop this on and you'll be out before you can say Rumpelstiltskin.
Trust - 7/10 Disturbing, but good. Madea's Big Happy Family - 3/10 Too much buffoonery!!! Tyler Perry let me down on this one... Priest - 6/10 It was ok.
Sucker Punch - 6/10 Very good action scenes connected by a mess. Arthur - 5/10 A few funny parts, but not enough to save the film. The Conspirator - 8/10 Solid movie. History buffs should love it.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes: 8.5/10 great movie and story... Cowboy's and Aliens: 7.5/10 great story Mechanic: 7.5/10 Great action and it was good to see h-town in it Sourcecode: 6/10 eh...
I just flew all over the place and saw a wide variety of odd movies: The Girlfriend Experience - boring as hell, I was on a flight, it knocked me out. It starred a p*rn star but since it was US flight not sure if they censored it or if it was just a bunch of sad people talking to an escort. 1 outta 10 The Runaways - liked this 6 outta 10. The girl that played Joan Jett was in those lameass sparkle vampire movies, right? Well she's great in this. So is Dakota Fanning. Oceans - 10 outta 10. Disney Nature gets some crazy shots. The crab war was amazing. Killers - 1 outta 10. The only thing watchable in it was Tom Selleck, and barely. Faster - 7 outta 10. Predictable but I love revenge flicks.
I just saw two good movies in a row. That's a rarity. 8/10 Big Fan (available on streaming with Netflix) I wasn't really expecting this movie to be good when I started watching it, but it was. It's Taxi Driver meets Jim Rome clones. Definitely check it out. 9/10 The Debt. Israeli Mossad spy thriller about trying to bring a Nazi war criminal to justice. Has it all. Action, love story, twists, and overall just very well done.
Piranha - 2/10 I don't even remember how I stumbled upon this movie. It was funny as t***, like in the way Snake On a Plane was funny. Except much less epic. Surprising though how they were able to get so many celebrities to be in it (albeit B-lister)... and Gianna Michaels is in it for like 5 seconds. Also, lots of boobage. Country Strong - 5/10 Typical chick flick drama story. I couldn't stand the accent and the country music. I had to fast forward through a lot of the movie because I just couldn't stand them. But holy **** is Leighton Meester a looker! Wow, what a beautiful little being she is. The Ward - 1/10 They already made this movie before. It was called Identity, starring John Cusack.
