It is already on Blu Ray, but the transfer got a terrible review. The Ghost Writer (2010) 8.5/10 Excellent movie that's concisely written to deliver old-school, Hitchcock-like thrills. Great at creating a very dark and bleak atmosphere. Note: directed by Roman Polanski so some people might have issues with that.
Well the 3D in the trailer looked really good, but it's not surprising that the rest of the film didn't look like that. Tron had 3D?
Jennifer's Body (on a whim with my girl, lazy saturday) 6.5/10 It was better than I ever anticipated which is a win. Perfect lazy Saturday/Sunday movie.
The Green Hornet 7.5/10 I was actually shocked it was pretty good. I thought it was gonna be one of those movies where the commercials is pretty much all there is. But Seth Rogan was hilarious as usual and the effects and action was great. They combined comedy and action very good. Worth seeing again.
Yes very surprising movie, a fun popcorn experience... If you guys have netflix please, please, please add 'Straight Time' with Dustin Hoffman.. It is a fantastic movie from the 70's such treasured films were released back then... I really want to start a new thread just for that movie alone, Fantastic!!! 10/10- Straight Time
The Fighter - 9.5/10 Christian Bale gives an absolutely amazing performance. Loved this movie from start to finish.
Finally saw 127 hours my most anticipated movie of 2010, and i was left disappointed. I was impressed with only ONE movie in 2010, and that was Shutter Island. (I've yet to see King's Speech though) Social Network wasn't that great, and neither was Black Swan.. compared to Oscar noms of years' past. Terrible year for movies.
127 Hours - 8.5 Never Let Me Go - 7.3 Somewhere - 6.9 Unstoppable - 6.7 about to watch Blue Valentine now.
Buried- 8.5/10 Jesus Camp- 9/10 about to watch Catfish. Will try to see the King's Speech soon if possible too I really really want to see Blue Valentine but I can't find ANY theaters playing it at all, and its really pissing me off.
Miller's Crossing (1990) 9/10 Incredible mobster movie. Can't believe I'd never seen this before, and few people bring it up when discussing gangster movies. This is a masterpiece with great dialogue. I will Netflix more Coen Brothers movie now.
No Strings Attached - how I kept from dunking my head in a vat of acid probably had to do more with the lack of said vat than intention......just horrible all around, Ivan Reitman has fallen off terribly.
The King's Speech is outstanding. I see a best actor Oscar in the future for Colin Firth, with possible Best Supporting nods for Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush. Great flick! 9.5/10
