I'll give it a 10/10 for being a PG movie with no boring parts. I thought it had the general feel of a Howard Hawks movie. I especially enjoyed the humor which was very "His Girl Friday". So the Coen's made a screwball western? LOL, the time 9am was fresh in my mind.
The Wrestler: 8/10, it was REALLY well made, but damn I was upset because I really rooting for him and though I usually like realistic endings, I really wanted him to succeed. sigh Darren Aronofsky
Dinner for Schmucks- 8/10. I would normally give a comedy of this caliber a 7 rating, but Jemaine Clement of Flight of the Conchords stole the movie and got it up to a more respectable 8 rating
I haven't seen True Grit I don't know what kind of Western it is but I like those Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western with awesome villains and fantastic shoot outs with a banging score by Ennio Morricone... Is True Grit like that???
I think one of the things I liked about it so much is that there is not a single boring character in the entire film. Every single character that crosses the screen, no matter how small or large their role, is memorable. And on to Tangled: Very glad to have seen this. Absolutely loved it. It was like an infusion of classic Disney elements and Pixar's awesomeness. 8/10
Not at all very few shootouts, weak villians that played very little role in the plot, and very predictable and boring characters for the most part really just an average movie
Just pick this movie up on Bluray.... One of the best Martial Arts movie I've seen in the past two years or so... It combines both bad ass action and drama where you actually care about the characters and how they turned out in the end.. The Indonesian backdrop and setting is perfect... This is like Ong Bak but with a bettter story and direction.... Grendal, pick this one up!!!
King's Speech- 10/10 Amazing movie. Never seen anything like this before in regards to story or plot.
The King's Speech - 92% Fantastic movie. The best acting I've seen in a movie in a really, really long time.
Seems like everybody watched The King's Speech this weekend..... Excellent film, wonderful acting in an elegant film, perfect award film. A
Totally agree, think it's a very fleshed out world which makes the experience so much more enjoyable.
The Green Hornet [6/10] Kinda boring and those saying the 3-D here was better than on Tron were dead wrong. The Dilemma[8/10] A lot funnier than I thought It would be. Was pleasantly surprised it was a Ron Howard film. Country Strong[6/10] I expected a bit more but over all it's watchable.
The Town - 7.5 - Decent movie, but pretty unoriginal, theme follows that of Set if Off (even copies a couple of scenes entirely from it), and Heat to an extent. It pulls it off well, but its not as good as either of its predecessors. As for Rotten Tomatoes giving it a 95, I suppose they're biased towards Afflick's previous works, cause no way is this a 95.
Have you seen Ronin? If so, how would you compare the car chases? Saw Ronin yesterday and the car chases were just awesome. The sound editing was godly. And very well acted, too. Best part of this movie was its realism -- they were free to let things get messy so the action sequences didn't look unrealistic. 9/10.
