1. The Town (the car chases alone were worth it) 2. Inception (wouldn't have been the same on my 42" set at home) 3. Shutter Island 4. How to Train Your Dragon Some movies are more enjoyable watching in the theatre on a huge screen, can't be said for every movie (considering cost and time involved)
Little Fockers - 8/10 very funny flick The Town - 8/10 surprisingly good Black Swan - 5/10 eh it was alright, wife loved it
I'm going to see it, but I hope it isn't anything like the 9:10 to Yuma remake, which I finally saw last week. 9:10 got all these great reviews, even claims it was far superior to the original, but it wasn't even close. It was ruined by too many elements that weren't beliveable and a stupid ending.
I agree with you on the town. The last two movies I have see are Black swan - 8.5/10 Little Fockers - 4/10 - The movie was pretty boring, and not funny to me. I like Alba though
It's no wonder you didn't like it. All the reviews you read were for 3:10 to Yuma. You watched the wrong movie!
Gulliver's Travels - a modern fairy tale; will entertain the family if you see it on 3D to get the full effect of the giant/small Gulliver. Rating:  Yogi Bear: it seemed to be "a story about something... and, hey, here's Yogi, too." Bad acting plus very predictable feature. My daughters were entertained, but they agreed the movie wasn't good. Wait for it on DVD for $1. Rating: Tron: good combination of 3D and dark lighting, special effects, and the girl had my attention. I hadn't seen the first movie, but didn't need to. Rating:  SwoLy's Rating System: Excellent  Good Average Could be better Bad Extremely bad
took a glimpse of the movie Machete while somebody was watching it. What the hell is that dumb ****? Mexicans with garden tools vs Caucasians with automatic weapons. Jessica Alba cant even talk decent spanish. I would be pissed If I rented that at the redbox.
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo - 6.5/10 If I hadn't read the book beforehand I probably would have given the movie a higher rating. Movie did not do any justice at all to the book. I'm almost done reading The Girl Who Played With Fire and am debating on weather or not to watch the movie.
Really? I thought it stayed pretty loyal to the book, and the Salender they picked kicked butt! I can only hope the Hollywood version will be anywhere close to the Swedish version. As for The Girl who Played with Fire, if you didn't like tattoo, then you most certainly wont like Fire....
A 7.5 is a pretty strong rating for something you thought was just "decent." Likewise saw Skyline. Woof.
