Howard and Bogut are a lock for 1 and 2, respectively.

He might be the most underrated center. Definitely not 2nd tier. Do you have to gameplan around Bogut? Not really. Did you have to gameplan for Morning or Mutombo? Definitely.

    1. Dwight Howard -- Vastly overrated, but still the best.
    2. Andrew Bogut -- Vastly underrated.
    3. Brook Lopez -- He's a great player, but he'll never be a star.
    4. Al Horford -- Not flashy, but can get the job done.
    5. Al Jefferson -- Very inconsistent, but did great last year.
    6. Emeka Okafor -- Middle of the pack. Not great, not bad.
    7. Nene -- Great offensive center.
    8. Andrew Bynum -- Pretty much same reason as Javale McGee below.
    9. Javale McGee -- Has the tools to be great, but is a complete bonehead.
    10. Roy Hibbert -- He might have been a bust years ago, but he's slowly starting to learn how to play.

    What about Marc Gasol?

I'd put him above Brooke Lopez and behind Andrew Bogut.

Overrated? Put him on any roster and they become a winning team.

The quality of centers in the league is lacking.

You do have to gameplan for Bugut offensively as he is the best defensive center in the game today.

The problem is for as good as he is defensively, he is just as bad offensively. The true, white Deke.

Chuck Hayes makes Roy Hibbert look silly everytime they play each other. There's no way Hibbert is a top 10 center.

How is Tyson Chandler failing to make the majority of these lists, yet 6 rebound per game brook lopez is all over the place?

I think if Dream were to come out of retirement for 10-15mpg he could crack today's top 5.

    1. Dwight Howard -- Clearly the best, but does not control the post and soft.
    2. Andrew Bogut -- Vastly underrated, but injuries hurt. Reminds me of Tim McCormack. In another era would be a bust.
    3. Brook Lopez -- SOFT. Not as good as his numbers. Cannot rebound.
    4. Al Horford -- Very good mid range shooter, but more of a 4
    5. Al Jefferson -- Terrible defender, but can score and rebound.
    6. Emeka Okafor -- Defensively very good, just don't expect much more.
    7. Nene -- Doesn't rebound like you would like.
    8. Andrew Bynum -- Injury prone.
    9. Javale McGee -- No basketball IQ.
    10. Roy Hibbert -- Inconsistent. Looks like a guy playing for a contract.

Don't let the Dwight Howard fans hear you! I agree, Bogut is probably the best overall defensive center in the NBA. He tries far harder than Howard. To me, his issue is not scoring (he can hustle to 15 pts), it is that he needs to stay healthy.
