Who told people they shouldn't second guess? I hope you're not implying me. I have straight up said I wouldn't have taken Watt, and said immediately before the pick that I would have taken Nick Fairley. I'm second guessing it. The thing is, there's a level between second guessing and throwing a temper tantrum, cursing, declaring a guy you've seen 30 seconds of as Jason Babin and saying you're going to cancel your season tickets on the spot. It's not about not second guessing. It's about keeping the second guessing within reason.
I also like the fact that we are the only team in the AFC south who's first round pick makes them better this year.
I'm fairly certain the post of the day was the guy who slammed the Kareem Jackson pick by invoking the name Kyle Wilson, who was widely considered even worse as a rookie.
I'm pretty sure The Cat is the easiest poster to troll on I've ever seen. Maybe behind jasonemilio... but he flamed out
So what NFL defensive coordinator experience do you have? How many teams and players have you coached? What experience and expertise do you have taking a player from one defensive scheme and predicting his production in a different type of defense as well as being surrounded by different defensive talent? Please explain in detail what qualifications whatsoever you have to speak on the ability level of Kyle Wilson. Thanks in advance.
I give it an F, not because Watt won't be good, because he might be pretty good. He won't be as good as Nick Fairley. You can mark me down with that.
I'd make a bet with you on that, but I think Suh's presence will skew the crap out of the performance of Fairley. Hard to bet against anybody standing next to that dude on the DL.
I know you're trying to be funny, but if you can't see the difference in evaluating the NFL play of a guy who has actually played in the NFL relative to projecting draft picks, well...
You had Fairley who beasted in the MNF and pretty much all year and you pass on him. Sometimes you can't be cute and pick the obvious pick.
Players who play poorly in one system excel on another team in a different city and a different system all the time. You're the consummate hypocrite. Get over yourself.
A guy in my FF league employed the strategy of picking up whichever QB was playing the Texans that week. He racked up ridiculous numbers with guys like David Garrard and Donovan McNabb.
I don't think most people realize how likely it is for Nick Fairley to show up 20lbs overweight, and late as hell. Dude has all kinds of JaMarcus Russell potential. I liked the idea of Robert Quinn more than Fairley, or Watt.
Are you really implying that Wilson would have had an easier time surrounded by the Houston defense than the Jets? Again, really??? You're hands down the most delusional poster on this BBS. Congratulations.
