Surround Yao with the amount of talent that team has
and Yao would be the MVP this year.

Mac the 5th best sg? You are crazy Wade and Kobe are the only ones better. Plus this is pointless it is not about how the starters rank it is about how they fit together and how the bench compliments them. Stupid thread.

actually, yao is on par with duncan and is much better overall player than amare.

half of amare's points are clear dunks off nash's playmaking skills. in addition, amare plays no defense.

i'm tired of people saying amare is on par with yao or even better. he isn't.

I agree with the part about Amare...

...but no way on the Duncan bit. I'll be the first one to say Yao is fantastic, but Duncan is an enigma. Do you really believe we wouldn't have made it past the Jazz if Yao had been replaced with Duncan? And are you sure the Spurs get past Phoenix Yao replacing Duncan? To me, both are doubtful.

true. but again, they're realistically PFs. they can play C b/c the position is weak so they can get away w/ it.

yao is a true C and he will always play that position so i put him there. the other two are at heart PF.

agree about yao > amare. but he's not on par w/ duncan. u say amare plays zero defense, yao's D is nowhere near duncan's. and that's where the difference is.

offensively, they're similarly close. but defense, duncan beats yao by a MILE.

    rafer #20
    T-MAC #2
    Battier#12
    Chuck#27
    Yao#1

I know someone will say something about T-MAC at #2 but the truth is only Kobe is better All of the others are just hype let them play T-MAC 1 on 1 who do u think would win. not D-wade, not lebron, only kobe and that wouldn't be easy for kobe because T-MAC can still play D

agree. if there was a 1-on-1 game, tmac and kobe would be in the finals. u gotta remember, tmac gets by one guy, there is no defense for him to be afraid of contact as he goes to the rim. if u ask most peeps, tmac is one of the first 2-3 names come out of their mouths if u ask them who is the best 1-on-1 player, obviously w/ kobe #1.

hopefully tmac can be more confident in his back, improve his J so he can return to scoring 27-28ppg more efficiently.

yao prior to his injury was as good as duncan. he was putting up 27 pts per game and over 2.2 blocks per game.

i will say that after his injury, duncan held a noticable upper hand.

Yes Duncan is better on defense than Yao but I also think
that Duncan benefits a lot from the MJ treatment.
When in doubt Duncan will always get the call! Plus there is
a certain Bowen fellow that helps him tremendously.

i agree duncan is better defensively, but yao before his injury was a much better defensive player then he was after.

he had a couple of games where he swatted 7,8 shots.

i still think they are comparable when yao is fully ready.

but i would agree that duncan would have the edge overall if push comes to shove.

i think we all agree before this yr (this yr i think yao was treated like a star and rightfully so), yao was reffed HORRIBLY and unfairly. duncan was treated like that this yr, esp. during the suns series.

Tmac and Kobe cannot singlehandedly defeat the Mavs in the finals ever.....at least not on their current teams :p
