I think this guy is an under-the-radar free agent target for us. And I think he fits well next to Harden. Plays solid D, can shoot it, and can make plays. Rate him.
Great backup pg. tons of energy and solid D. I'm not sure his game will be that great as a consistent starter Udrih looks good too...at times
Nick's biggest obstacle to a starting job is his shooting. Otherwise, he's above average in every other aspect, defense, passing, energy, running plays.
Would be a championship PG if you surround him with proper role players like Harden, LerBon, Love, and Davis at the 2, 3, 4, and 5 respectively.
"can shoot it" umm sure he "can shoot it" like Dwight or Dorsey "can shoot it" doesn't mean he can do it well. Were you implying Calathes is a good shooter!?! AND this guy has Terrence _ones written in a spoiler... smh
LOL. Was wondering how long it would take somebody to pick that up. (One of the worst spot-up shooters in the league.)
He'd be a good starting caliber PG in another era. But this league, currently, is way too deep at the 1. He's a good backup. Not a special backup...but a very good, very serviceable backup. I'd tak Jack, Augustin, Thomas, Devin Harris, Reggie Jackson over Calathes....arguments for Heinrich, AB, Sessions, Burke, Sessions...
I'd take Hinrich over him, not AB, sessions or Burke. But I understand the point of your statement, he would be a fantastic pick up for us.
I like him as a backup. Could easily start for a few crappy teams. Beverley is a better player AND a better fit with Harden, however.
He looks like a less-ugly Chris Kaman, plays kind of flashy, and hasn't proven he can shoot the NBA 3. Would I mind him? No. Would I want him starting? No.
If he's enhancing his performance than he's a pretty solid back up. I've also seen him go through stretches where he didn't look like he belonged in the nba.
